hello everyone, i am new to this site, i have been reading it for a while now, and just decided to sign up.

my big headache that i am having with my cr1 visa process is that i am worried that we may not have enough physical

evidence when we go to the interview. i met my husband through my best friend over 4yrs ago, but we have only been married

for almost 2yrs, he filed i130 for me and my son, they have been approved, and are now at the NVC, we had hired a lawyer to do the paper works for us and

to guide us, as we were both naive to the whole immigration process, however it turns out that our lawyer was just in it for the money, and could not care less

if our interview is successful or not. because he failed to tell us what we need to document and prepared for the interview,i found out these things just now

at the last minute by visiting this and other visa sites. so long story short, we only have bills in both our names, but he lives in the us and i live in jamaiac, we have the stamps in his passport to show how many times he visited before we were married, we have pics to show of us and with family and friends before we were married, and of our wedding, also our wedding was a small private ceremony, with only me, my husband, my best friend and her husband as witnesses also my son was in attendance.do you think this will be a problem as my family did not attend? and i am going to add him to my bank account, should he go ahead and add me to his account in the us? or is it too late? also we will have affidavits from his and my family and friends to state that our union is genuine.also he will be visiting me again before or for the interview.

THINGS MISSING. telephone and email to show that we were co responding, joint taxes from him, fedex receipts, money transfer receipts

does anyone think that this is a red flag for our case? thank you any advice appreciated.

Sometimes at interview they dont look at any of the evidence, and sometimes they ask for it! Its best if you can be as prepared as possible, but usually if they want to see something they will just issue with a notice that the visa app is accepted pending a certain piece of info the require.

The best thing to do is get added to as many bills as possible. Bank acc may be difficult as you are not in the US, but he can add you to health insurance, life insurance, gas, electric and water bills...basically anything you cant think of. Sams Club cards etc

Have you any way of getting hold of emails, phone records, MSN chat?

If youve been through USCIS and NVC with no RFE's its USUALLY a good sign!

Sounds as if you have more than enough evidence. Your family not being at the wedding isn't an issue. Just have some photos of you two during the course of the last 4 years and the other information you listed and you two will be fine as for the evidence.

May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!

Thank you very much for your insight, it eases my mind a bit. am going to be brutally honest , the reason why we do not have any emails is because my husband although a very hard worker, he can't read and write much, so we communicate by telephone, the problem is that both our phones are prepaid, and i got a majic jack that he bought me, so we use that most of the times, to cut down on the amount of money we spend for calling cards.ONLY BECAUSE WE WERE NOT ADVISED BY OUR LAWYER THAT THIS WAS A VALUABLE PIECE OF EVIDENCE! am so mad at him, but it's too late had we known we would have made the sacrifice.and yes we got thru uscis and are now just waiting for the actual visa interview. once again thank you.
