Approved I 360 Petition

Hello Everybody,

First of all i would like to thank everyone who helped me find my way with answers in this journey of immigration.

I finally got an approved I360 petition.

before i get into that though i have a few puzzling questions.

my petition was just approved this month (dec, but in september, i received a letter from Vermont stating that,

Dear..my name....

on ......date... you, or thedesignated representative shown below, contacted us about your case. some key information given to us at that time was the following:

Caller indicated they are Applicant or Petitioner

Attorney Name Information not available

Case type

filing date

receipt #

Referral ID

Beneficiary ( if you filed for someone else)

your USCIS account number ( A- number)

Type of service requested: Change of address

the status of this service request is:

please be aware that USCIS cannot confirm or deny the existence of your petition or appliction over the phone, in email, or through a service request (SR)

you must submit your inquiry in written form with the original signature of the inquirer. if there is an attorney of record or representative, you must submit a properly completed notice of entry of appearance as attorney or represantative ( form G-28)

NOTE: third party inquiries will not be recognized.

thank you for understanding.

and then it ends with if you have further questions call blah blah blah...and it ends.

my question is,

How long does a letter from USCIS take to get to my address? my approval notice was sent to my email address and i even comfirmed it by checking my status on the USCIS website that it was sent out on the 7th today is the 23rd. Where is the letter? does it usually take this long to get to the recepient? I did not order a change of address and it puzzles me that someone wanted to change my address and now am beginning to think if the letter is not here by now, thewn it must have been delivered to whoever changed my address. and how is that even possible? Nobody has my receipt numbers except for me and my lawyer and she didnt request a change of address!! can someone please help me out here, someone is obviously trying to mess up my papers!!

This letter is enquiry put either by you or on your behalf... don't worry about it. anytime someone enquire , uscis issue these letter to let the petitioner now that enquiry was initiated and it will take 60 days to process , or we required written request .. blah blah... this is generic letter.

I have more then five of them..

I have my WaVA approved, Have Work permit, still I got renewal of Prima facie..

Am sorry, i did not understand what you wrote. i really dont know why i havent received my letter yet since they approved it and sent a confirmation email to me that it was sent on the 9th dec, and now its 20 days later!!! can u pleaase explain to me again what u meant in ur above reply?

I meant to say that, if someone enquire thru 800 number, USCIS send these letter to the petitioner stating that someone ( either you or your representative on your behalf) ask the status of your pending application and it will take 45 days or sometimes 60 days to reply for the query you or your rep made with USCIS. Sometimes USCIS reply with the notation that they need written request to process the enquiry you or your rep made..

Bottom line its a generic letter USCIS send to all the enquirer. thats all. If your petition is approved and you received email then you will receive the hard copy soon. its matter of time, the delay may have been due to holiday season, because most of the people goes on vacation these days. In my case , MY judge is on vacation and will be coming back on 8th january.

If you receive the email then you should not be worry too much as its already approved. congratulation.

Am beginning to worry, my I 360 was approved on dec 09 2010, and the automated email said they had sent the 797 notification to my address. to this day i havent received anything yet. can anyone let me know if they have had or are experiencing the same problem? i dont understand. i wrote back to vermont and requested they send me another copy since i had not received the original one. they only touched my case and sent me another automated email that my I 360 was again approved and notification sent out on feb 24 2011, today is march 07 2011 and still nothing in the mail!!. i dont understand what is going on please help. now i just have to wait. i cant file my I485 or I765 til i get that 797 notification. i called the 800 number and the person i spoke to told me to file a form I-824!! where are they sending the 797 notifications? this really sucks!!
