Hello VJ fam!

I am in the process of adjusting my status from K-1. I have passed my biometrics and am now looking for more information on the AOS interview. I am very curious to hear about your experiences.

- How was your AOS interview?

- Do you have to appear with your spouse?

- What kind of questions did they ask?

- How long did it last?

- What paperwork did you need to bring with you at the interview?

Also, does everyone HAVE to have it or is there any chance to receive your permanent residency card in mail WITHOUT the interview? (not that I mind the interview, just curious :)

Thanks so much everyone in advance and Merry Christmas to all!! :)

Most people do not have interviews for AOS, it is a 50/50 chance.

Hey guys don't worry too much it is painless and a lot less stressful than the original K1 visa interview, we got put through for an interview, because i had, the year before i got here, been refused entry and returned to UK, anyway, got to interview early, stood in line with the other few interviewees and partners, after showing our letter to security we were let into the building and through the scanners, then over to a desk to show letter they directed us to the seating area, we sat for 5 mins and then got called, interviewer had all our file, they explained why we had been asked for interview, he asked how our trip was where we met if we had pictures, looked at them for 2 seconds, then talked about my country(Scotland) and how i liked USA then he said ok well you should get the card in the post, "oh sorry, yes you have been accepted" that was it in and out within 10-15 mins.....week later i got the card in the post with welcome to USA leaflets inclosed.
