The visa will have an expiration date on it, typically it is 6 months from the date of issuance is when you should travel to the US. However, occasionally the expiration date on the visa will be less than 6 months - generally due to an expiration of a medical.

Check the date on the visa, travel before that date

Good luck

It all depends on the consulate, most set expiration at 6 months, however in some cases it may be set shorter in cases where a medical exam or passport would expire within that six months so visa expiration would be set to the date of passport or medical expiration.

My medical will expire in 2 weeks, my application is on its final review and visa is not released yet.

with holidays this month , I doubt I could get my visa in time

I know you have to be on the port of entry on before visa or medical expires, but is there a case where embassy can extend your medical validation?

Medical is a requirement of immigrations, the time is set by USCIS, so more than likely the consulate will require another medical.
