N-400 Interview with Gender Typo on Green Card

Hello,

My green card has a typo on the Gender part, instead of M it has F. I have submitted my N-400 application and my biometrics have been taken. USCIS sent me the pre-interview notice saying that they have reviewed my N-400 completely and only advice me to bring my Driver's license to the Interview. I wonder if the Immigration officer would make a big deal about this typo? I have working authoritations and copies of past forms that I filled with the correct gender, and never had a problem going out and getting in the United States.

Anyone has had this issue before?

Thanks

I would highly doubt this would be an issue if you provide documentation that you had filed to correct, more than likely it is correct in the system, just not on the ID card.

My wife's learner's permit had same type of type, we corrected it, but did not get a corrected ID until she got her DL.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

It probably would have been best to get it corrected when you got the green card (unless I'm misunderstanding something and you did), but it shouldn't be a big deal. I know people who changed their gender, which is obviously a different situation (I'm assuming, I guess), but they just had to provide documentation as to the correct gender in order to have it changed. It was never a big deal. If you can show that you applied originally as male, I'm sure they'll just document it as an error in the green card production and it won't be an issue. There's a decent chance they won't notice, so I would bring it up to make sure your file has the correct information. Good luck.
