Just thought I'd let everyone know that Nick arrived in Omaha last night from Heathrow (miraculously, no delays or cancellations!) The CBP officer was extremely friendly passing through immigration in Minneapolis & he was only asked if he'd met my family before & to see his return ticket. Otherwise he was wished a Merry Christmas. Nick is staying until March 18th. We were so nervous beforehand but any sort of evidence was never asked to be produced this time.

I scoured this page looking for other's experiences with visiting so I thought I'd add my own. I wish everyone a happy holiday. Although I'm lucky to be with my Nick for now, your time is coming soon! Keep the faith.

That's great that you can be together for the holidays! I last visited the US for an extended trip (2 months) in September, having already stayed for almost three months earlier in the year...let's just say they weren't too happy. I was pulled into secondary passport control, had my luggage searched, and was questioned pretty intensively. We actually just filed the paperwork on that trip, so that wasn't an issue then, but thankfully I took with me a lot of paperwork proving my ties to the UK. It was a nervewracking experience, and I was told that I was "abusing the system" by spending so much time there. Unfortunately, this means I probably can't visit again until this process is over. :( Enjoy your time together and hopefully you'll have the visa soon!

My fiance had the same ordeal happen to him. He travels all over the world for his job and had been in the states a couple days prior for work before he entered again to be here for 3 months with me. Because the trips were so close together he had to show his return ticket, pictures and emails of our proving our relationship and proof that he was there for work on his first trip. It's creepy!!! But, luckily, he was allowed in and will be here for Christmas and New Year :). The key is to stay honest and have lots and lots of proof. Good for you!!!
