hi guyz! im a newbie here.. anybody can help me regarding this I-130. some many questions... aahhaaha i filed I-130 for spouse n derivative for my son.. and my priority date is october 2010. and Im an LPR.

1) wats about retrogression that i heard to somebody..? is it affected for my filing?

2) i saw some same thing with my category and they approved early processing.. do i need to do something to make it fast? or any other way?

3) and how many months or years should i wait? =(

4) what is the faster filing.. outside the country or in USA?

1. I wouldn't worry about that you're ways away from the NVC stage and changes could be made to the feb/march bulletin and bring it current again.

2. You're probably speaking about expediting the case? Review the "expedite criteria" listed on the uscis web site.

3. How many months/years you should wait prior to completing this process? If yes then... I would suggest waiting on the february 2011 bulletin to see if there'll be any changes (back to current).

4. Faster filing? Direct consular Filing (DCF) or outside the US would be faster and typically requires the petitioner to be a US Citizen and have resided in that country for 6+ months. I'd suggest you view that embassy/consulate's web page to check the requirements.

July 19 2013 - Enter the USA

yes i requested for expedited.. but did not meet meaning didnt approved.. so how can i file the dcf?? wat are the things n requirements? and is that ok to file dcf wen i already filed the i-130?

You can only file for a spousal visa via DCF if you are a USC and live in the foreign country for 6 months or more, so this does not apply to you.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
