Hi All,

After a recent RFE, my wife's Resident Card showed up in the mail!.. Pretty quick turnaround time since I sent her application in early September.

SO now that the Resident card is here.. what needs to be done next? Do I need to file another form to have her passport stamped or travel documents prepared for travel? Also on her social security, it has a comment about not being DHS Authorized, how does one get rid of that? Sorry if these questions have been asked by someone else.. but Im just confused about the next steps..

Don't need anything for the passport or any other travel docs. Green card is all you need.

Go back to the SSA and apply for a new card, you'll get one w/o the DHS message.

If it is a 2yr card you'll have to file I751 90 days before it expires.

another thing, if it is the 2 year conditional you will need to start collecting evidence for the next 2 years for the removal of conditions.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Because as a K-1 you are not authorized to work unless you have an EAD card or a Green Card. Once you have the green card you go back to the SS office and they will remove it from your SSN.
