Hi everyone,

I just went to interview at USCIS San Antonio on 12/15/2010.

After 10mins, I got form N652 :

x Pass English and history test

x Follow form N14: require certified Petition of divorce (within 30 days)

x Decision can not made yet.

I really don't know how my situation is accepted or denied?

Please share if you know the same situation! Thank you

Thanks YuandDan!

I worry so I hope someone has the same situation share with me!

from what you marked, they are waiting for a divorce decree. that's probably it. once you hand it over to them, they should approve your exam. you didn't have it at the interview?

Thanks for your answer.

I did bring my final divorce decree, but IO required Petition of divorce that didn't tell me to bring in the instruction so I didn't know that.

Wife and I are trying to forget about our previous defunct marriages, USCIS won't let us. Plus we couldn't get married in our state without proof that we were both free to legally marry. To date the USCIS has two copies of our divorces and three originals of our marriage certificate. Then how did she ever get her green card through marriage to me, again, the marriage certificates and full copies of our divorce papers, same thing again at her N-400 interview, but this time her IO wanted to see the original copies that we brought along. You must have forgotten that in the marriage privilege three year US citizenship evidence requirements. Hope it doesn't cause you major delays.

Have over a four thick folder on my divorce, the papers I brought in were titled "Judgment of Divorce", Signed by the judge, over 50 pages long and is stamped with the court seal. The definition of a divorce decree should be the same thing, "A court's formal order granting a termination of marriage, case is closed, marriage is officially terminated. Wifes' previous marriage had a similar document, marriage is terminated, signed by a judge with a court seal on it, but not nearly as long winded as mine, only seven pages long.

Also have a petition for the divorce, more like a court order for me to appear in court, but is not the divorce, only the start of this long expensive mess. If you brought in your divorce decree, judge of divorce, signed with the court seal, sounds like you brought in the correct document, maybe your IO isn't very bright, my wifes' IO certainly wasn't bright. She wanted to keep our original divorce documents, wife had enough sense to say, no way, would cost us a small fortune to get those documents. She also "misplaced" her application, my senator straightened her out. Was a battle to the very end for us, but I took the ball and carried it. They like the argument that only the applicant should make an inquiry, responded, wait a minute, you are interfering with my family and I have a say in this matter. You are breaking up my family!!!

No telling how long it will take, one of my wifes' friends just waited, took 15 months, must have someone working there at the USCIS that does a follow up.
