Hello to all superpatient,

Few days ago my fiance called USCIS to verify the country of birth on our application (I don't know how, but I guess we DID miss it! NOA1 had "unknown" for the country of birth). He was told the correction was made and that aur application is being processed (and that they can't give him any more info). I was wondering if this is something that postpones the processing of our application... NOA1 November 1, 2010, correction made on December 17, 2010.

Anybody experienced this before?

Are there any other American-Polish couples out there? Anybody with NOA1 from around November 1?

Thanks ahead

I have a similar situation, and this is really a vent, because my NOA 1 says "unknown" for my fiance's country of origin, and I guess it's because I mispelled "Egypt" on my I129F application; it was a dumb mistake, a typo, but really, how hard is it to figure out that "Dgypt" should be "Egypt"? I called USCIS and they are putting in a service request to correct it. I should be contacted within 30 days that it has been corrected. I'm starting to understand why this process takes so long.....

Witam Agnieszka,

My check was held by my bank and they suspended my packet for two weeks until I resent the check. However, I received a letter stating that my filing date would be adjusted to reflect date of payment. Since you have not received a letter stating your application has been suspended due to error, I do not think your application has been postponed at this time. I would go by whatever letters you have received (however you still may receive a letter stating it will be delayed).

We were originally August 9th, but due to bank problems they readjusted us to Sept 12. However, did they actually go in their giant pile of papers and pull us out into a 'holding pattern'? I doubt it but maybe.

Pozdrawiam,

Tomek

Cześć Tomek,

Thanks for the post.

Are you still waiting for the 2NOA? This would mean you're going into 6 months soon... processing times for CSC say 5 months or less.

I'm so tired of waiting... Anybody there who got the 2NOA faster than 5 months?

Agnieszka
