Question about Joint Sponsor Forms

Hi,

Just a quick question about joint sponsor

I am sponsoring my wife and will be submitting I864 Form

My friend is going to be joint sponsor (in different state). Should he be submitting both I864 and I864A forms or only I864A?

Your co-sponsor should fill-up and sign I-864 as well as submit the following documents:

- letter of employment written with the company's letterhead with contact numbers and his salary

- current pay stubs for the latest 6 months

- W2 and IRS tax transcripts for the latest three years

- proof of domicile such as copy of his green card (front and back) if he's an LPR or copy of his certificate of naturalization, passport or birth certificate if he's a USC

Oh and the I-864A is for co-sponsor who lives in the same household with the petitioner.

So co-sponsor should fill I864 only.

I will not ask him to fill I 864A as he is not living in the same household
