OT died, in my opinion, when Politics and Religion got hived off into its own little category. I totally get the rationale for this move, but in doing so the absolutely batsh!t, epic threads that used to spring up here are a thing of the past. Instead we have a lot of game threads and in-jokery (I am guilty of participating in both). But I think back to this July and August when there were a variety of nutso things going on in here, really long and heated discussions about sex and crime and guns and what have you. To some extent this continues to happen in P&R, but there are people who used to participate in these broader conversations in OT who will not go near P&R.

I know there are PLENTY of people who have not and will not mourn the transmogrification of OT but I kind of miss the old OT. It's now sanitised for your protection.

It's a Biblical quote. It's only there because I mostly post on the Politics and Religion board, and keep having to remind the Islam bashers there that stuff they criticize about the Quran is also found in their book. It's not meant to be disparaging toward Christianity.
