Saylin,

I got my EAC number last Monday, but when I entered that number, the site came back with:

Your case can not be found at this time in My Case Status. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1.800.375.5283.

I called USCIS, and got elevated to tier 2 support. They confirmed that I am in their system, just that the website database has not been updated. Well, I have been trying everyday, but I'm still getting the same response from the website.

Not sure if I am unique or if others are getting the same response.

By the way, why do I have an EAC number when you guys have WAC numbers?

Thank you.

WAC numbers are those with petitions sent to the California Service Center. Since yours is an EAC number, that means your petition got sent to the Vermont Service Center.

I have heard of some cases where people couldn't log on to the USCIS website with their receipt number. Their system isn't perfect and unfortunately there are a handful of people that can't log in because of their imperfect system. I would suggest calling USCIS again, once this week and again next week if you still can't log in. Just remember, being unable to log in doesn't change anything with your case since it's been confirmed your case was received and in the system. Besides the fact you can't obsessively log in and check your status, there's nothing to worry about.
