Hello, pls find my scenario and advice how to go about....

The address in my Greencard (conditional), is that of where my husband stayed first.

Afterwards, he shifted to another location. Me came to USA and joined my husband at this second location.

Now we have purchased a home and shifted permanently to the third location.

We were not aware of AR11 or I 865 till this time. Now since we realise, we are in the process of submitting both ASAP before filing I 751.

Pls advice:

1. How many AR 11s I need to submit?

2. How many I 865s my husband need to submit?

3. Is it a better option to submit AR 11 amd I 865 together thru a single mail ? and then proceed for I 751?

OR

Do AR 11 online and then I 751. Parallely, submit I 865 ?

pls advice at the earliest. thanks

1) One per green-card holder.

2) One

3) They go to different locations so are sent separately.

You can do AR-11 on line, send before filing I-751 to remove conditions.

One note on the I-864, I have yet to see a post where the fed actually exercised the I-864.

But yes any joint sponsor that filed an I-864 if they move need to file an I-865.

This all ends in one of 5 cases.

  1. Person who provided I-864 dies.
  2. Green-card holder dies
  3. Green-card holder becomes a U.S. Citizen
  4. Green-card holder works and is credited with 40 quarters of work.
  5. Green-card holder leaves the USA giving up LPR status.

Hello, thanks so much for the quick response.

So, what you suggest is, eventhough we stayed at different locations, I need to file only ONE AR 11 wherein we shifted from the Second to Third location.

I don't have to submit any AR 11 that shows the shift from First to Second location, eventhough my Greencard has got the First location as my mailing address. Am i correct?

Also, let me know how much time it'll take for AR 11 to get processed if I do it online?

thanks

Hello, i have one more query.

I have submitted AR11 online and got a confirmation number. Will I be receiving any mail from USCIS stating that the address has got updated to the latest one? If so, in how many days will i receive the letter?

Also, we have posted I 865 today as certified mail.

Since the above are done from our end, when should we submit I 751?

thanks in advance....

You can file the I-751 now if you like, it is NOT dependent on the AR-11 and I-865 confirmations.

Probably not, I have yet to see any posts indicating USCIS confirming AR-11 or I-865.
