Just to like to clarify and ask. So if you are using a K1 visa you have to attend 2 seminars? The Peer Counseling Sessions for Filipino Youth Emigrants and Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar Schedule for Filipino Emigrants? Can this be done on the same day and same location? Thank you in advance!

I got my passport two weeks after the interview. And she can go to CFO even without her passport, but she will have to go back to have it stamped. Why not just let her do it a day or two before she leaves for the US? So she does not have to go back and forth :)

that is the plan. She will take the CFO this week in between medical and interview and she can fly to Manila a day early to get the stamp.

July 06,2010- USCIS confirmed delivery

July 12,2010- NOA-1

July 21,2010- file touched

Nov. 19,2010- NOA2 Approved!!!!

Nov. 24, 2010- NVC received

Nov. 30,2010- Hardcopy recieved in mail

Nov. 30, 2010-case number received from NVC via phone

case forwarded to Manilla

Dec. 06, 2010- paid Visa fee at BPI

Dec. 07,2010-Embassy recieved

Dec. 28, 2010- Appt. finally scheduled

Jan. 11,2011- Medical exam

Jan. 18,2011- Interview APPROVED!!!

Jan. 19,2011- Visa printed

Jan. 22, 2011- Visa delivered

Jan. 30, 2011- Guam

Peer counseling is only for kids (IR2, CR2, K2, K4, and other relevant categories) 12 years old and above.

Guidance counseling is for fiancees and spouses of US citizens (this is in lieu of the PDOS).

And yes, you can get it all done (guidance counseling and CFO sticker) in one place. St. Mary's (SMEF-COW) in Katipunan rocks!

The US embassy will courier the passport back to your girl, with the visa in it. From there, she completes the CFO requirement. Best place to get it done is at St. Mary's.

Do you get your passport back after the interview? My girl lives in Bohol. Does she have to go back to Manila after passport delivery to get the stamp then???

07-25-2018: I am now a U.S. Citizen!

i just called PRISM, all I need to bring is my passport with the visa. they will issue a yellow certificate which i need to show to the main office, which will give me the green certificate and the stamp. if you live in the south, i recommend that you just go here since PRISM and CFO main office isn't that far from each other.

My wife took the CFO seminar yesterday.

No reservations needed.

She took her passport/visa & photocopies, passport size photo, and a photocopy of the Immigrant Data Summary page from the visa package.

She said that it was the easiest process that she had to go through (DFA, NSO, Interview, etc). She said that it wasn't like what is describe on VJ or other sites she have read. She said that she was in & out in about 2 hours. The only thing that she wasn't expecting was that she was charge an extra 150 pesos for a handbook.

She said that she went to Banco de Oro on Taft Ave - so that is PRISM.

07-20-2010: I-130 package mailed.

07-22-2010: I-130 Package Received - Priority Date.

07-29-2010: Received text & email from USCIS - Notice Date.

07-30-2010: Check Cashed by USCIS.

08-02-2010: Received NOA1 hard copy.
