I just returned from South Africa as well (end of February), and coincidentally, my future sister-in-law gave me Koeksisters just before I left! Was eating them at the Jo'burg airport while waiting for my flight! They are delicious!!!

They are awesome aren't they? Where at in SA did you stay?

Can anyone send me a sample letter of intent for the interview, or tell me what needs to be included? Is it the same as the letter that was sent with the I-129f? Does the benificiary also need to write one out at this time?

My attorney said the letter should clearly state both of your full names and where you are from/live, the date you met, how you met, how many times and when you have physically seen each other and why you want to get married (the mushy stuff). You should also clearly state "I and engaged to and intend to marry Mr./Ms. ..."

My fiance (the beneficiary) and I both sent notarized letters (signed with your full name, address and phone number) with the application and I will be sending another notarized one indicating that it is still my intent to marry and spend the rest of my life with my fiance and some more mushy stuff with packet 4.

I will email you a copy of one of ours...but don't make fun of the mushy stuff :D

Tom? pgs. 2.5, 3 and 4 of what? If you look on our thread map we have a link there for the NOA2 packet to help the Beneficiary with all the documents, (and it is highly encouraged they also check their Embassy for any 'other' documentation they require specifically for them). Specifically, On the Thread Map we have listed on P.33, post # 490 (NOA2 Docs). Please refer to this list as it is the official list from USCIS.

:energy: Welcome to The Thread Tom and Hongxia! :energy:

Mari

Sorry I guess I should have been more specific. We have received our NOA2 for our K-1 Visa and she was just wondering if there is any paperwork that she can get ready ahead of time. I will check with the Embassy there and see if they have any advice as well. Thanks

Ryan and I got our first NOA-1 on December 2nd! We are soooooo hoping that this visa process is starting to pick up. Being from Canada and dealing with the Montreal consulate eventually... I don't even know what a realistic time frame is :(

Good luck to us all!

:energy: Welcome Nata & Ryan to the Thread!!!!:energy:

Happy to have you all here with us, and don't forget if you want Dizzylox to add you to our Timeline, please post the following:

1. Your timeline link (http, just copy & paste) from your profile

2. State which Service Center you are at: VSC or CSC

3. List the latest touch (we call that a "fondle" here).

Now, you'll be added!

Also, it would be great if you could share a recipe from your beneficiary's country for our Decemberite Family Int'l Cookbook! It's our wedding gift to each other here on the thread and a keepsake (and comfort foods) during our "waiting pains" ... we're going through this entire VJ Process together! Expect to meet many int'l friends here.

Best to you all and Thanks for coming to YOUR Decemberite Thread!

Mari

Bec, I am so stressed over this part...

Kadir is still on base in Iraq and I have no way to get documents to him right now. They have no mail system in that country and none for Civilian Contractors on base! I sent a cargo box for his birthday 2 weeks ago. And what do I see when I go to work Saturday at my front door? THAT BLOODY CARGO! I called usps and they told me, "well it went to Iraq, the USAF Base and it came back":o Me: Why!? "because the address they gave you is incorrect and NO SUCH ADDRESS EXIST." I was so pissed at K's Turkish co-worker who insisted "THIS IS THE ADDRESS" when I kept saying, "I am the American, and we do NOT LIST ADDRESSES LIKE THAT!" Now his box is here and I am so glad I didn't send his documents in it ....:crying: When I do speak with that co-worker, I am going to say, "senin beyin aşk" which means [sarcastically] "I love your brain" :bonk: ... rofl!! :bonk:

I really feel that waiting for him to get back to Adana is harder than the NOA2 wait because I am at a standstill when it comes to his papers! And to tell K so, is like lol... like... getting OLA to give Gsummit a RECIPE for our cookbook! ha ha ha ha lol OLA, you know we love you! (Ola reads this every night "beautifulNpoppi" is his name he tells me).

I don't want to be having any added stress over those packets but I am having a COW over the fact that even if we are 1-2 mos out from NOA2, K and I are not fully completed with the documents yet. See Bec? This is the stuff that makes me anxiously want to puke due to nerves. LOL I have to go to yoga today for sure and sweat this out before I bite somebody. Natural stress reliever, exercise and breathe.

Is anyone else having a fit over the document presentation and completing them?

Mari

PS: OH yes, me and my english bulldog can now do the yoga pose called, "downward facing dog" ...together. :D Here is a pic of her eating a rock... but that pose is the same as the yoga one! lol

Flights and point of entry?? Hay, we are on the downward slide in this visa process, big events are getting closer!! I have read some reviews of POE and I still do not understand what this involves and how long it takes?? My precious fiancee will be making the trek from Manila to Portland by herself and it looks like the 2 best options are Delta with a Layover in Japan and Hawaiian air layover in Hawaii. I have done both and I much prefer Hawaiian air but that would make Honolulu her POE rather than Portland.

Would the POE effect her connecting flight? My fellow Decemberites always give me good information, so what are your thoughts or experiences?? I am all ears!!
