Good Morning Everyone!

Wow the board is jumping this morning and I love it.

Sassha and Bec: You know all I can say is when I moved my house from one city to another, I D I E D from all the stuff that I have accumulated. In just my closet alone, I could probably clothe a small village; this is ridiculous honestly and embarassing for me now. So I'm constantly giving away as much as possible because I just don't need it! What I was so impressed with in my travels is how the rest of the world functions so well without all this stuff (junk?). Let me say that I am fully determined and it is a goal to get rid of more than 50% of what I own because we just do not need it. Hence, my article on decluttering on this thread.

On TLC (an American tele channel), I have watched a show called "Extreme Hoarders" or Hoarders....Buried Alive. It's something like that. OMG that show freaked me OUT! These people have been traumatized at some point in their lives and have issues getting rid of things, but continue to collect more and more. One home was soooooooooo dirty (trash on floors & counters, no working plumbing, piles of junk up to the ceiling). Anyway, some of these people get help and the crew comes in and empties out their homes but these people get emotionally and mentally flipped out! I don't know why I watch this either, it mentally taunts me and the graphics do not leave my mind when I see something untidy, or cluttered, or unorganized. Here... look for yourself: Eeeeeek! http://tlc.discovery.com/tv/hoarding-buried-alive/ lol don't say I didn't warn you....:blink:

Anyway, I admire the Beneficiary that comes here with only what they need.

WOW WEE!! What about the news from Dizzy this morning that we're all HALF WAY THERE TO THE FIVE MOS!!!!!!!! :dance:

What is so great around this thread is the positive attitudes and the fun we are having (albeit missing our Sweethearts :luv: ). It really brings much hope to see our progress and our patience while we work to be with them.

You're all such Troopers.(L)

Well Done Decberites!

I should say, this is based on 155 days from NOA1 which translates to 5months and 5 days...those of us at VSC should be calculating against 180 days...6 months. But, for now, I'll keep it at 155. Once we start getting into 5 months and approvals start coming, I'll make a judgement call on whether or not to give "realistic" hope to those of us (VSC) still waiting for NOA2. So we don't get too worked up!!!

Great job keeping up the Timeline Mrs. Loxxxxxxxy! (hehe... I love your last name "to be"... it so cute on you). I'm praying that VSC is at the 5 mos and 5 days. Does anyone know if there is a monthly trend from year to year that we can compare to?

Love ya!

Pancake day to UK MARDI GRAS to those of us in the U.S. and islands! woohooo!

I grew up in Biloxi, MS...heart of the US Mardi Gras country. Boy do I miss it...we used to get the whole week off from school to celebrate, like an extra spring break. Everyone I grew up with that is still there will be earning their beeds today and enjoying some king cake.

I will be working :(

People in Ohio just don't seem to have an affinity for tasty cake with a plastic baby inside. Maybe this could be my wedding cake!

:D

Bec_Dipu, thank you for answer, but don't you think it is for petitioners from US?

I was looking at the section labeled Non-US Citizens and assuming it meant the beneficiary of the K1/K3 process or a foreigner applying for a work or visitor visa although it oculd mean a US citizen based in some other country. You could call the number listed and ask if the instructions apply to you.

Eventually a proctor for this site will probably move your posts and my replies to a more appropriate location on the forums as they seem to greatly dislike the comingling of topics. At that point, your question will be displayed to a much wider audience who will give you sound advice and probably thouroughly thrash me because I may not know what I'm talking about. :D

that link is for people living in the united states with an immigration process, in order for you to change embassy or address you need to contact the NVC once your NOA2 is approved and let them know about the change. if your K1 visa reaches the embassy before you can make the change, you need to call them and ask them to change you address/ or send it to your desired embassy! hope this helps :)

Well hello everyone, it's been a while since I've been on here and I'm trying to get more involved in this website and let me say this forum and all of us Dec filers are awesome. So much info, help, and motivation on here!!!

Before I go on.. Bec_Dipu I also grew up in Biloxi!!! I miss it there too, although a lot of people's parades got rained on my dad told me! Sucks, but still a party I'm sure!

Well I just got back from visiting the most beautiful woman in the world (at least for me!) and I gotta say she is SMART! We did a lot to get ready for her visa and interview and I thought I was going to school her up on this but instead she schooled me! Sonoko and I make such a great team and I still patiently await her arrival to the USA permanently! Thankfully we have sites like VJ, and she has several friends that have already been through this process that has been so great.

The other big news is that we did some initial planning for our wedding!!! Both of us being thrifty, we decided a small backyard wedding at our best friend's house and near my redneck family in Georgia for Oct 1. I'm also planning 3 weeks during this time to show her America since we will be going from CA to GA... first stop, The Grand Canyon (by request!) Then early next year we are planning to go back to Okinawa to do a ceremony there for her friends and family that cannot come to the US for that ceremony.

So here we all are... still patiently waiting and IT SUCKS! I have a co-worker who submitted a K-1 for his Filipino Fiancée in October and still have not gotten an NOA2. Patience pays off! Also has anyone gotten more info/confirmation on the rumors of some in the past month or so getting an NOA2 in 25 days or so?? Doesn't sound legit to me, but if it's true WOW, I wish it were us!!

Alright ladies and guys, hope to hear back from everyone!! I know there are some of there are some other Japanese filers in here, are any of your fiance(e)s in Okinawa? If so, I would like to get them in touch with Sonoko so they can try to keep each other sane on their side of the world!!

Chat with everyone later!

Wow!! Just came across this post and HOW are we all getting passed over?!?

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/299314-noa2/

Someone received their NOA1 on Feb 1 and NOA2 on Mar 8.

What can't any of us be that fortunate?!?!? I just hope the government doesn't shut down to save money and the visa processing is one of the services that take a break!!!

*sigh*

Still waiting!

Hi all,

I tried looking for this already but couldnt seem to find it

As noa 2 is approaching "half way there!" I want to make sure that once they send me packet 3 that i have everything that they need ready to be sent back

Packet 3 Contains: * DS-230 Part 1

* DS-156, Non-immigrant Visa Application

* Information Sheet-Evidence which may be presented to meet the public charge provisions of the Law (Affidavit of Support forms)

* Medical Instructions

* Checklist for interview

* Notice of Readiness

I know where to get DS-156, medical instructions since it's posted in this threat.

Sheet-Evidence I can't say that I know what exactly they are asking for here.. perhaps my fiancées payslips or bank credit?

Check list for interview

Notice of readiness

Perhaps this would also be a good idea to get a "guide" up on in this threat to get everyone up to speed and ready for package 3 ?

And if i have missed this information somewhere then I apologize. Let's just say that working 60 hours a week takes it's toll :]
