Hopefully it's all true, but I just rec'd an email, Post Decision Activity: "We mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)." Anyway, I think I'm super lucky if it's true.

I wish you all good luck. I really like the December Filer forum. It's so organized and friendly. I'm a January filer, but visited this one the most. Does anyone know what I do now that I'm approved. My brain is reeling. I can actually plan a wedding now... Assuming we get past all the other hurdles.

Wow, that's quick! Congratulations!

Next step is that the file goes to the NVC (National Visa Center) where it will be allocated to the appropriate embassy (Manila, maybe?). A reference code will be created (if Manila, it will start MNL) which you will be able to get from the NVC by phone, or it may be on the NOA2 hard-copy when you receive it.

After that, it's make sure that you have all the required information for the interview (birth certificate, police certificate(s), I-134 with accompanying proofs, etc) - not sure if the Philippines have an extra interview stage or not  Arrange medical once you have the reference code, interview, visa approval, move, party on

I think :unsure::lol:

 I already congratulated you two but I can't say enough how happy I am to see this NOA2 approval so quickly! Why? Because it gives hope to the rest of us that are patiently waiting that there is a chance that the USCIS is really coming up to speed! LOL But Aaron? Remember what I told you in the other thread when you bought that lottery ticket? If you win that I'll slap you! LOL ha ha!!!

Aaron, now here's your new task since you don't have to plan your June trip to the PI again.... Go to our Thread Map and find Wendie's Wedding links site! Pick your colours, flowers, and what dress suit or tux you will wear. Don't forget the SHOES! *(lol, your flip wife will dig that btw... I know, I'm AmFlip). Don't forget to start working out so you look like a stud for that big day! OK.... now get primping. LOL

And thanks for the compliment for the Dec K-1 thread! We have another honorary Dec K1 friend; she's KiwiJen who is an Oct filer.

OK try to behave and if you do win that lottery, you better have us (THE ENTIRE THREAD) at your wedding!

Aloha everyone,

Just so you all know we recieved NOA1 on 12/29/10. Nothing was on the USCIS website showing the petition was received when we kept checking status. It always said the case was not in the system until this morning 2/17/11 it now says its under review. So that's our first "touch". Just thought in case others checking after the NOA1 and receiving the same message online about not being in the system would like to know.

Aloha...............Paul

Paul,

So if you check the WAC# on the USCIS website you're status reads 'case review', or something like that? I think we had another Dec filer that had the same issue, (MattB's??). Anyway, happy to hear that you're on their web-system. Seems you held it together fairly well because I would have been flipping out! LOL

Take care and hello to Tonieta!

Thanks Mari for the correction. I have updated the date on my timeline now. I also had a view comments based on past posts

1. As an attorney with many immigration attorney friends, its not necessary to hire an attorney unless you've been previously denied, they say your claim is inadmissible or you simply think there is no way it will be approved. I have been advised and found out for myself that as long you read very carefully and follow the instructions to the letter, you will be fine.

2. I would recommend reading Nolo's Fiance' and Marriage Visas. You can either purchase it online or do like I did and get it from the public library for free. Between the instructions, checklists, and other information in that book and visajourney I feel very confident that our application won't have any issues on our end.

3. We also set a tentative wedding date of September 3 on the beach and I pray with all my might that we dont have to push it back. Its nothing big, just about 50 guests at a beach house.

Good luck everyone.

Yes, I had that issue too, and mine was added on 2/18/11 to the tracker. Guess they finally got around to resolving the issue.

Today is Sunday, Feb 13.... I think I'm the only one working today! LOL

When packing I found my Neiman Marcus sachel (no, I can't afford that kind of bag, it was a gift from a gf). Anyway, inside it was my WEDDING PLANNER NOTEBOOK!!!! yeah!! I have been looking for that since we moved temporarily in this house!

It wasn't too long ago, maybe the past few weeks, that I wasn't even excited about planning because my concern is more about Kadir getting home from Iraq safely. Well, God willing, K finishes in 2 more weeks!!! NOW, I'm excited. I'm also a little bit cautious and was afraid to make any sort of plans with the CSC & VSC backlogged. What if I plan it all out, something (God Forbid) happen and we are screwed? It would have been all in vain! So, I'm just keeping my special colour pens that I love, notes/ notebook/ and my Bible very close at hand for deep petitions to God that it all works out in a timely fashion.

Anyway, we have a date, a backup date for the just in case, and an idea of venue(s). The budget is set and I mean it. LOL <stubborn and frugal = mari). I'm going to pick the venue where only 35 people can come. LOL That's IT!. **confession** I'm getting a little excited now and I don't think I'm going to stick to my own words. But we'll see.

I know my dress... ... my Bridal consultant told me that "a bride should accent the best part of her body". SHE SAID I HAVE BOY HIPS & big ta-ta's! LOL LOL What's that means? LOL LOL... "narrow like a boy, but chesty like mother who just gave birth" LOL LOL ... <she has terrific Spanish accent>

Well, if I want any kind of wedding I need to get moving and get back to work here! I hope all of you are having a very good weekend.

Love ya!

Mari (F)

PS:Incidently my lady friends and Brides to be: What's the best tip your Bridal consultant has said to you? Please share that among us!

I love that you are 'sticking' to 35 people...my plans at having @ 25 people has turned into 46 people if they are all able to attend. I have had some stressful moments thinking we should elope!!! This 'small intimate' wedding still requires lots of thought! Making plans from a distance for a wedding in another country is no picnic either! I am now visiting Michael in MN and we went to have lunch with our friends who will be standing up for us and their daughter. She referred me to a photographer who will not cost us as much as my visa!!! I was one happy girl yesterday when the photograpy agreed to take photos at our wedding. My tip for the the day is to ask around because there may be a photographer who is just starting out who simply wants the experience. I am thinking of an earlier post that mentioned not having a photographer and Mari replying it is good to have wedding photos as evidence. Have a wonderful Sunday everyone!(They're expecting 16 inches of snow here today eeek!!!)
