had the medical done yesterday! the knightsbridge doctors surgery i must say is a little underwhelming compared to what i was expecting! due to a few unfortunate nuggets of my early teenage life and some silly mistakes though i am now subject to a psychiatric report from my doctor to be faxed to knightsbridge asap before it can go any further. i have an appointment in an hour which was lucky though. fingers crossed this won't hold us up!

Just wanted to say Hi! to everybody and let you guys know that we picked up packet 3 & 4 today. But our interview is not untill January 12, 2012. Why is the wait sooooo long anybody else experiencing the same thing? Is there anything I can do to make the date sooner? That will put us at 13 months from start to visa time. :crying: Wsup wit Ghana?

Thanks for any replys.

January 12? Are you kidding me? This sounds like "call your congressman/senator" time, in fact if you know a local politician like a city council member, county sheriff, chief of police they can place a call or an email to a senator/congressman and get a more timely response. :secret:

It's wrong you have to wait so long, must be a mistake!! :protest:

I would imagine that the interview dates are down to the local consulate/embassy - Ghana must have a backlog or something.

That's terrible news though crying.gif

Hi Sweetie~!

Wow long time no see!!! Very happy to hear you got your packets... I'm really surprised about the Jan 2012 date though. Yeah really, what's up with Ghana!? Maybe they'll have a cancellation and you can squeeze into that!

Love ya,

Mari

Piefre, We are too still waiting for Noa2. And I'm afraid to wait for 60 days. I stopped checking back here because, unfortunately, is not pleasant to look like everyone else are nearing completion and we are still stand in the place.

I'm one of the few Decemberites still waiting for their NOA2 so I wish I was making plans to go in for my medical or interview. Instead I'm still waiting to see if my petition fell behind the fridge in the lunchroom or something. We got an RFE acknowledgement from VSC in mid May. In a few days, it'll be one full month since they acknowledged that they got our RFE response. We missed one checkbox on our forms. I'm really sad that one silly mistake sets us back a month and probably more because Vermont is not approving RFEs at any sort of logical pace. And I am always afraid that they have forgotten about us and will never approve us. I guess that's a lesson learned for us to always check and recheck our paperwork until our eyes bleed because it is a really crappy feeling to be left behind.

Are any other Decemberites waiting on RFE responses still checking this thread? Or Decemberites who haven't heard anything regarding their petition yet?

I am going to see my fiance next week :)

I am spending 2 weeks with him and will have my interview at the consulate a day after I come back.

I know it seems funny...but...I dont plan to have my POE till 12 Dec as we are having the ceremonial wedding at the end of Nov in my side of the world. It will be a little like the Hangover 2, Bangkok followed by a beach ceremony in thailand, hopefully, minus the drama. I also made a commitment at work which means I shouldnt leave the job till the end of the year.

Right now..i'm occupying my time with getting stuff for the wedding...like the perfect shoe...and the perfect body! haha

For the folks that are still waiting for their NOA2, hang in there! And for all the upcoming interviews..good luck!

Hi Marcia&Danny, thanks for coming back and letting me know you're still waiting too. It feels better to know that I am not alone. Hopefully we will both be approved soon and I agree that it does not feel good to be standing in one spot with everyone else nearing completion. I am happy for them, of course, but I wish that those of us with RFEs could be celebrating too.

I presume this isn't a legal wedding, as I thought the actual legal wedding had to take place in the US? wacko.gif

Marcia, I'm just glad to see you! I was wondering where you went. I can't remember how long its been since you got notice, but once they have the evidence (RFE requirements) they send the NOA2 out just afterwards! There is hope as they say "60 days" as some standard kind of answer so I've seen... I'm going to be praying that it's sooner than that!

Either way, we're here for you & Piefre!!

Love,

Mari

hi there all decembrists

its been awhile, but i have been a little busy.

after the RFE in May 9 and replying on May 13 we finally received our NOA2 on June 14. that very same day we send a letter to the congressman :):) just to kill time. but i think they got scared and unleashed our NOA2. :):):) i guess we will have to tell our Congressman (Team 6) "false alarm". :P

so now i am searching info on VJ about the following steps.

my papers are all ok. i am waiting I-134 with all the supporting DOCs (like tax return, W2 forms, employer letter, pass photocopy, bank account statement) we had a doubt about 125% above poverty line....but she makes like 22.000 a year, so it should be enough for me... no kids no cats no dogs

on guard to NVC and then the embassy.

best luck to all of them before me with their interviews and i hope this September be able to find some cheap ticket to newark :)
