December Filers

Byron got the Embassy packet 3 today (was sent last Thursday according to DoS).

I think it's funny....London Embassy sends the Packet 3 letter on May 26. On May 26 I fax to my HR in Texas for an employment verification letter. Both UK and USA have postal holidays May 30. On May 31, I receive the complete typed out and signed employment verification letter composed and signed from an HR person in Texas. Byron receives his fully automated Packet 3 from about 5 miles from he lives on June 1. I guess I'm spoiled....but seems so odd to me to receive a letter from nearly the same neighborhood a week later....when I get letters from Texas in 2 days (the physical distance to me is like London - Moscow).

I think the stress of this has really been getting to me. My beautiful wonderful fiance has been getting the brunt of my...I guess it could be called K-1 wrath....when I told him that the Packet 3 had been sent last week, I was wholly hoping and expecting him to finish the paperwork today. He didn't. To be fair, he was really busy at work. But also, I went into work early today to copy and finish his I-134 parcel before I had to get to work. So maybe feeling bitter he didn't do the same when he could have sent it today, rather than tomorrow. I don't know about everyone else here, but every single day counts to me.

Argh anyway, thanks for being a sounding board Decemberites....please every one keep on updating! I think it helps keep more than just me sane

you are not alone!

I think i have a huge problem guys..

I think i might have put in the wrong BIRTH place of both my parents AND myself.. on the forms...

reason for this is because the birth certificate i got, which i just found out was not enough and it did not state my parents on them...

and even when i asked them myself about it they gave me the wrong birth place

i have a feeling that this will cause a huge mess and i really dont know what to do..

i dont know if i should wait and bring this up at the interview or perhaps call them now and tell them the situation ?

i really dont want to be declined because of something like this..

im born and raised in sweden in a small town, and so is my parents, so i usually put the bigger town as my birth place because thats where everyone goes.. apparently i was wrong

comments? thoughts? :/

Just got off the phone with my mother.

This is an issue..

In Sweden, when you are born. they do not add you onto their records right away..

so as an example..

My mother lives in A town, but this town does not have a hospital, so she has to go to B town to deliver me. once i am born i go back to A town and THERE they will file for my birth certificate ...

This is where the confusion started... and this is why i filled out the place of birth wrong on myself, my mother and my father.. Since it says on the form "PLACE OF BIRTH"

I was born in Town B. but my papers does not say that..

Any insight at all???? or am i really damn screwed..... :/:/:/

Think i am having a physical breakdown

Hi Aleke86,

I had the similiar issue. My fiance lived in Barbados at the time I filed the petition. Mid process, he moved back to Guyana. I tried to update his address with the USCIS and NVC to no avail-the file went to Barbados anyway. The only way we could change it was for Mark to submit a request to the embassy in Guyana asking them to request a transfer of the file from the embassy in Barbados. It did cause a tad delay but the embassy did transfer the file to the right embassy. He has already submitted his packet and we are now waiting on an interview date.

You can ask the embassy in Suriname what you should do to have your case file transferred from Paris. I actually found the information on the embassy website for Barbados (how to have a file transferred to another embassy) so you can also check on each website to see if there is information.

I hope that helps.

Jamila

Thank you alot Jamila, it helps but I want to know if you didn't ask them to transfer they would not do it ? I mean if I let it go like that I will be interviewed in Paris and not Suriname?

haha i know i've errored on at least 2 parts of my paperwork now.. my dad's birthday is coming up. i said to my mum "'friday the 10th? i don't think i'm working"

..how long has he been born on the 12th for?!

*slap on the wrist* bad daughter!! hopefully it will remain undiscovered..!

i got all the excitement butterflies at once when i was working last night, i haven't felt them in a long while. i was sitting there and amidst the thoughts about paperwork, medical poking and prodding and the stressful trips to london (my less than favorite place even if it is only 50 miles away), i remembered something which i think we can sometimes misplace in our minds..

I'M GETTING MARRIED SOON ^-^

must remind myself of that as a good pacifier soon! (unless reilly forgets to get that letterheaded notice from his bank for i-134 for the 5th week in a row, then we're going to fall out!!)

I have yet to receive a hard copy of packet 3 yet it was supposedly mailed May 5th! I went ahead and mailed my stuff after DoS told me it was sent. I paid my fees and registerd with DHL, sent it through them - it is free.Today I called DoS and a very nice visa specialist told me that packet three is logged, seeing the other timelines for Montreal I expect to hear around June 10th that packet 4 is on its way.

Guess what came in the mail today......packet 4 saying I am ready for my interview!!! It was postmarked May 27th; received June 2nd. Never did receive packet 3 in the mail

I am slightly confused at the instruction to bring the appointment letter showing the date and time of your interview, is it the website confirmation? And I packed box 19 for the POE, butterfly city in my stomach...can't wait for August!!!

Hope everyone has a nice day,

Lise

Did your packet 4 contain a letter stating your name, case number and the date and time of your appointment? Most embassies require this for you to be admitted. Kind of like my birthday parties.

Congratulations, that's awesome!! I assume its the website confirmation, yeah.

I don't know about your picture box, the picture box on the New Delhi photo instructions page stated that it was 2x2 but it lied. I measured.

In the past it has always said 2x2 and this box I think said 50mm x 50mm? I don't know. Its just a teeny bit tall so I don't think it will be a big deal (at least I hope not!)

I actually broke out the ruler and I think the box on the form Dipu was sent measured 2.5" x 2.5". I just thought it was hysterical that they would give such specific instructions and a sample picture and the sample picture was WRONG! It's probably a conspiracy because the embassy in New Delhi has a photographer who will take your pic that day for $50.

Wow this is great news!

Congratulations Lise!!!!! OK wait, did you already send in Packet 3, or are you still waiting for that one to get to you? I thought you had to send in Packet 3 before they sent you the Welcome Letter? <confused totally> Ankara, we have to send in packet 3, then K gets his letter of Interview Date. I'm glad he's home but already the whole family has been HOGGING HIM UP & having him do "help big brother work" ... omg. But one thing I know is, we are so happy to have a normal fone call that we do not have to rush! Strangely, yesterday while he was talking, at the 3.5 mins mark, I said, "Hurry up and tell me... the fone is going to go!!!" <thinking we only had the 5 min signal like before> He had to remind me he was home!

Did your packet 4 contain a letter stating your name, case number and the date and time of your appointment? Most embassies require this for you to be admitted. Kind of like my birthday parties.

   LOL how incredibly Becster of you! lol lol

Six months since NOA1, still no NOA2. But I'm leaving to see my fiance in a couple of days. Hopefully they let me in so I can spend a few days with him at least.

Ok this thing must be around the corner and to your home by now~! C'mon VSC move your butts on her file!!!!!

Love to you all!
