Unless you are talking about some other interview that I don't know about, you will need to do one.

Thank you!! And I now have the AOS thread bookmarked (No more procrastinating... well maybe one more week!)

What is this "(and IF)" You know he will make it, unless you is really that scared of your American slippah wrath you will bestow upon him! Actually, I am scared for him, so pass on that he need not to be scared!

Definitely let us know when he arrives and you guys get settled into your new life. Sonoko and I will then be up that way to be some tourists and we can have our day of celebration as new families!! :)

-Shawn

I'm too annoyed to get out the slippah! LOL ....... Even his Mom is annoyed! That boy has been sitting on waiting list for 3wks to get back to Turkey and HE IS STILL NOT HOME! You know how it goes, civie contractors come below luggage, supplies and officers! So, today is Memorial Day and I am sure the base isn't flying out anything of 'less importance'. Tomorrow, I am making fone calls bc we are going to miss the interview dammit! I'll let you know IF HE GETS HOME. At this point? He could be there till Kingdom Come! Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Congratulations.... yes, you have to go to an Embassy Interview. All of us do. Hmmmmm... where did you see that you do not? Curious.

Been reading the United Kingdom thread and noticed that a lot of people are running into a 6 week back log of packet 3 being logged. Any of you run into that yet when waiting to schedule your interview?

Check your embassy's website. Many embassies have the entire Packet 3 online so you can just print it yourself and submit it. Hope it works out!

My letter from the [uK] US Embassy stated I would not be issued an interview date until the Embassy receives results of the medical exam which is on the 14th; I don't know if it was me overlooking things (which is probably the case) but I didn't know that would be the routine. My Packet 3 paperwork should have been received by London today and I don't know if I'll get any acknowledgment of receipt until the interview date is given. I'll update the other UK filers when I next hear anything.

Hey everyone, the site seems to have gotten quiet.

I can say that the closer I get to this part being done the more anxious and stressed I become!

Maybe this stress will lead to some weight loss lol. Although I didn't join our thread's fitness

challenge I have been doing a lot of walking (5ks twice a week and shorter walks with my Nemo combined with my

eliptical on the other days. I truly believe that exercise helps with stress! Also, it is a good thing that Michael has a knack for calming me down! How are the other beneficaries coping as the POE date gets nearer?

Have a great day everyone!

Lise

Gin just called DoS and my packet 3 (which was received by them on 18th May) was logged on 26th May - they're waiting for medical results now before assigning interview - apparently time scale for that is "just depends what's going on at the consulate that day". laughing.gif

Kadir is finally HOME IN ADANA!!

I got to talk with him this morning (and yes, I bit him for making me crazy for the past 8 mos).:luv: But I was so happy to hear his voice on a NORMAL FONE without silent loss of satelite signals! He said his father brought him his "normal fone" so he could call me right away but his family came to "welcome kadir... come have a sit down" and evidently, I was the last to know. So I bit him again. LOL LOL

My Askimsin, Kadir: You will soon read this post I am leaving for you. Seni cok seviyorum, kalbim seninle! Now have a good sleep because tomorrow you have work to do... The Embassy awaits you. HURRY UP!

WelcomeHomeHoneyDoList.jpg

I love you Kadir!(L)

Mari

PS: These are all our friends from around the world! They know everything you did to me while I had to wait and wait and wait!
