mari & all who have been discussing the evidence, thanks a lot for the ideas. sometimes when you think about providing evidence to strangers about your relationship it makes you think 'oooh that's not convincing enough they won't accept that!' and i have to stop and realise i am in a bloody legitimate relationship so i have nothing to worry about and of course it counts but all this talk of proving it makes it feel almost competitive! LOL

i hope everything pans out right, fishernyalew. the process is stressful. i'm looking forward to putting behind us all the tension bickers that we've been having because of visa stress and missing each other. just laighable, petty things. like last week, we were streaming together a documentary on the theory of parallel universes, and it erupted into this ridiculous argument because he believes how feasible they are and i don't see enough evidence yet, it was very tense and i think we were both feeling a bit overemotional for debate and it turned a bit venomous, cut to the chase at the end i said which i am shamefully still proud of ' WELL MAYBE YOU'RE RIGHT, IN SOME PARALLEL UNIVERSE'. which to date has been my best summer-upper yet. hahaha. we laughed about it after.

it is hard! emotions are so high, especially if it's been a while since you've seen each other. that's why we had to arrange another trip before the k1 process. i pick him up tomorrow at the airport!! i don't know what i'm more excited about, giving him a cuddle, or being at an airport LOL. it's a magic feeling place!!!

Carrie, I bet you hit it on the nail for a lot of us, "providing evidence to strangers about your relationship it makes you think 'oooh that's not convincing enough they won't accept that!' and i have to stop and realise i am in a bloody legitimate relationship" I have stated a similar comment many times of being tired of having to 'prove' our relationship, things which should be natural and fun turn out to 'oh...that would be good evidence for immigration'. And to think this will continue for as long a you deal with immigration! I am seriously considering naturalization so that I can live the rest of my life without proving my relationship! Any other people considering naturalization when the time comes?

Lise

Guys,

I know how frustrating everything is and I know it seems like your time may never come. But it's important to remember that you have to try and stay positive.

Kiria,

I know you said that you've called NVC, but you want to be calling USCIS: VSC. I suggest trying again making sure you're contacting USCIS and asking for a Tier 2 representative. You can also write, email or call your Senator / Congressman and get their support. Early on in the process I contacted our Congressman to let them know we would be calling upon their help if processing took longer than 5 months. His staff were more than happy to help. Don't feel helpless, you're not helpless. Stay positive and don't allow yourself to feel victimized.

Acrossthemiles,

Same goes for you. I know it's frustrating to see January filers getting approved but remember that the way the files are organized there may be boxes with 3 different months of petitions in one large box that get sent to adjudicators, that's why getting your representatives involved helps because you can be pulled from a box that may not be slated to be adjudicated until it is pulled.

There is help out there for you guys. Don't give up hope and most importantly don't bring the attitude of the thread down. We're all here for you and happy to help. I know it's frustrating TRUST me we all know, but there are avenues for help.

xoxo

lol @ competition. I totally feel ya on that. But then when I read consulate reviews about UK they barely even look through your evidence it seems and they ask very straight forward questions. I think all will be ok :)

I don't think there's anything to worry about in regards to the online. Go by that paper, for sure! it's official!!

And give NVC a little time. It may still be early :)

Yeah, thanks Dizzy :)

Guys my girl has just broke it off. She said that she can't do the waiting anylonger. How many of you have dealt with this and made it through it?

Just wanted to let you know that you are not alone in this. For us after a few hours/days cooler calmer heads have prevailed. I know in our case it is mostly fear driven as the dream begins to become reality. Gina has no family or friends here, and she is not comfortable with her English. When you put this on top of the normal cold feet people get as the wedding date approaches. It shows me how strong she is to handle this all as well as how committed she is to me, and I understand when she needs to vent frustrations. Even though the words of breaking it off were spoken, we have always known our love for each other continues to grow every day.

Hope this helps, we are all here for you. Don't cancel as that will reset everything. Just let the process go through and see what time gives you.

Ok here's some Mari "juju" and it's mixed in with a little of that Jamila "ju ju" .... that's enough rub rub for you! Too much, and the USCIS may fall in love with your file, and never "fondle" it properly so it's sent off to the NVC!

Anyday now.... and how come it took you so long to show up on this Decemberite Thread ? :bonk:

I think this program has literally given me GREY HAIR on my temples! You know I used to only have 12 total when I met Kadir.

After our engagement, I had 24, total.

After gathering and collecting official documents, submitting the K1 Petition, the waiting pains and now preparing for the NOA2?

I HAVE 24 GREY HAIR ON EACH SIDE NOW! lol ......... see what the men do USCIS does to you? lol

I have the same question. Looks like you already have a lot more than me. All I have is some pictures and maybe a screenshot of my facebook page that says I'm engaged...lol

We use IM and Facebook for our conversations (not sure if I want to give them copies of that). Other than that, don't really have much.

We use Yahoo messenger for our conversations. My intention for those are to submit a screenshot of the archive directory. Then also print out some of the conversations, but keep them seperate and take to the interview. If they ask for more information we will present it then. Also if you are concerned about evidence you can create some by sending text messages or phone calls then submit a copy of your bill with the international charges. Send some money via western union, even if it is not a large amount it is still evidence.
