Just checked our case status today, and we got an RFE!

Yaaaaaaaaay! I'm just happy they actually looked at it. I wonder what it's for as my fiance and I took care to make sure we got everything and we provided a ton of solid evidence of having met in the last two years. I think it probably has to do with either my citizenship or my employment history. Though both of those items seem trivial to send an RFE out for. We'll see, I guess.

I love your great attitude about this Piefre! Once you find out what its for, you can send them whatever you need and then BOOM noa2!

Last night I was getting a bit emotional about thinking about leaving my family, my mom in particular. We're so close and she is my best friend and I still live with her so its going to be a big change to be so far away. Also the rest of my family, like my darling grandpa and my twin sister. Its just going to be such a huge change! I know I'm doing the right thing for me though and I'm so happy that I will finally get to be with Blake permanently. Is anyone else having worries like this?

I can relate only for me it's my fiancee who is leaving his family to be with me. I can't imagine the sadness he is feeling. Just yesterday he was telling me how sad everyone is getting since we are now getting close to an interview date. Hopefully I can help him adjust to our new life but also keeping close contact with his family.

My fiance can't wait to get here...he's anxious to trade in 120 F (I think that's 45 C) days for our 80 F summer days. He thinks he's going to love it, but just wait until January :D He lives on the other side of the country from his family and rarely sees them, so he may actually see them more when I force him to visit twice a year (NOT during the summer lol).

My Nana is a twin and her twin just moved from OH to TX last fall and even at 74, it was still very hard on them to be apart. Maybe you and your twin can meet in Twinsburg, OH for the annual twin festival each year!

This is my biggest concern for Mr. Loxy!!! I want it to be as smooth as possible for him. I'd be a wreck if it were me. Bless him. xo

Yes, I have worries like you! I am moving away from my precious grandchildren, one who is only 1 month old. I worry she won't 'know' her nana...however I have no doubt Mariah & Colton will not forget me. As it is I have two daughters and a granddaughter on the west coast whom I only get to see once a year. When I do see them it is like we have never been apart. I trust that I have made the right decision and will do what I need to do to keep the close relationships with my daughters and grandchildren. I truly believe Michael is the one I want to spend the rest of my life with. So, in the meantime I am spending as much quality time with them before the move.

Our worries are all part of the process and emotions of change.

Everything will work out and be as it is suppose to be.

Today,

I got the email from Ankara Embassy and it said here is the link to dowload the documents for K1 (even if I already did them). But it also said that there will be no 'further package sent'?????

Did they mean to me? Or to Him? (Maybe they meant that to me...)

Shawn? You just went through this, was that addressed to the Petitioner?

Thanks,

Mari

Here's the email:

Dear Petitioner ;

Greetings from US Embassy, Ankara,

This is in regards to the K1 visa petition you filed on behalf of KADIR Beneficary. We would like to inform you that your approved petition has reached our office. Please click on: http://turkey.usembassy.gov/visa_forms.html to download the Instructions for K1/K2 visas". A separate paper instruction packet will not be sent.

Once the necessary documentation and forms are received by our office we will set up a final interview date for your fiancé.

I hope this information is helpful to you.

Sincerely,

Immigrant Visa Unit

US Embassy, Ankara, Turkey

I just hope the letter arrives soon so we can find out what it is and send our response back soon so they can hopefully approve us soon after that. I'm trying to keep my chin up about the RFE because it's not the end of the world and most people who get RFEs tended to have their petitions approved a couple of weeks later. So we are a little late out of the gate, no big deal if you ask me. I hope our RFE is just a simple problem or an oversight on our part and it is not USCIS questioning our relationship or something else major like that. I'm a worrier so I'm constantly wringing my hands about everything but gotta remind myself that an RFE is not the end of my petition. And hey...at least VSC is moving now lol.

Dizzy, I'm with ya, girl. I can't imagine being you and putting all that pink on that spreadsheet, still WAITING for your own! :)

I'm crossing my fingers for the rest of us that it will happen SOON!

Well ladies and gents.......WE'VE BEEN APPROVED!!!!!!!

I think Adam is now deaf because of the scream I let out, when I checked our case status.

Now if only we can get the water out of our basement hole. We dug our basement about 6 weeks ago, it filled up with about a foot and a half of water shortly after because of all the precipitation we got this winter. So we've been waiting and waiting for it to go down. Well last week a Tornado (not a big one mind you) went right down our new street and filled the hole up with 4 1/2 feet of water....so now we need it to stop raining, so the Fire Department can come drain it for us (the joys of a small town), so that we'll have somewhere to live when we can finally get married!
