Morning Sammy,

You're welcome. ... What is this you also read the case number is sufficient??? :bonk: After what I just posted back to you???

IF IT DOES NOT COME FROM NVC or EMBASSY you do not follow those [unofficial] instructions! Why do you think I called in for the official directions and back it up with their phone numbers so you, or anyone else can call them in case anyone has to hear it for themselves?! Did I just waste my time here? I hope not.

Unless you are willing to undergo delays and more waiting, I wouldn't follow any unofficial anything! I will state this very clearly here: THEY HAVE NO WHERE TO PUT YOUR FILE IF THEY DO NOT HAVE THAT BAR CODE AT THE EMBASSY LEVEL! So you send in your file without copy of this sheet, and then? Where's your file located after that!? Nobody knows and this is what the DOS Main office told me, as well as the NVC.

I don't know where you read that and it's up to you if you go ahead. If you do, good luck. But for me and I'm sure many others, it is not worth the risk not to follow instructions. Simple and true.

Mari

PS: Regarding the electronic Alert? You can call and find out and then let us all know in your next post! OK?

Ok ok. I have been warned and bashed. Hahahahahahah....and no you did no waste your time. Thank you very much. It has been one week now so can call the NVC for update.

Sam

Last July, when I went to London to meet Byron for the first time, my friends all joked that I'd come back married. I told Byron this, and he came up with the idea to take a wedding photo shoot and post it on facebook to trick everyone. Brilliant!! So I rented a dress from a costume shop, Byron's professional photographer buddy met us at Westminster Abbey....hijinks ensued! I think we give the royal couple a run for their money, huh?

Mari

The whole royal extravaganza just made me so so so excited for all of us Decemberites .... Just think it's not going to be long till our own Prince will kiss his Princess Bride.

Last night I stayed awake to watch the Royal Wedding which started (on the west coast) at 2am. I waited with anticipation to see the fairytale unfolding before the world. It was beautiful! The Prince was dashing and Ms. Catherine was stunning! I did doze off when the choir was singing hymns. I was determined to stay awake until the newlyweds came out on the Buckingham Palace balcony for that long awaited "Kiss". When the Groom kissed his Bride, not once but twice, it was so romantic to see them so in love. lol.. Good on them for breaking that regal stiff traditional peck like Charles did with Diana 30 years ago! I think the world can relate to the contemporary royals [William & Kate] much better. Diana has to be smiling from heaven!

Congratulations Duke and Duchessof Cambridge!

Welcome to the RFE "Dog House" the worst part is the time between the notice and actually getting the letter so as to know what they are looking for. For us it was a 5 day wait, lots of pacing the floor, speculation, (me job searching in Manila News Papers!)

Turns out I had sent the Notice of Entry of Judgment for my Divorce rather than a copy of the actual Judgment. :bonk: I already had it and didn't even have to run to the courthouse for a copy. Was nothing!!

One week ago I received a text from USCIS stating that my case status has changed and the evidence I submitted is in review. So we wait!! I really believe this RFE is good news, I am happy to get it now rather than a month down the road. It's difficult seeing so many NOA #2 being handed out all around you and you get an RFE. BUT in the bigger picture it just means they are looking at your case and it will be concluded very soon!!

Rex

I feel the same as you did. I am very curious to know why we got a RFE. Hope you get approved very soon. :) It'll give the rest of us some assurance that we are next. Good Luck!!

Thanks!! Let us know what your RFE is when you get the actual letter, I mean as long as it's "public information" hahahahaha. Just kidding!! It will be something small and you can get it sent asap and be back in the hunt for the all elusive NOA #2. Then you will be just a week or two away. I am hoping we get our NOA #2 soon so I can post "WHAT DO WE DO NOW?" Can you imagine the smacking and beating from Mari??? :o

Thanks Mari!! Was an awesome day - that's actually the day he asked me to marry him for real. We bought fake rings for this shoot, and he actually got his in the Westminster Abbey gift shop. While he was busy buying his ring, I was outside standing alone - in a wedding dress. Had at least 5 tourists ask if they could take their picture with me LOL! After shooting at the Abbey, we ran around all of London taking other pics, then ending up at a pub getting drunk!! I must have been the drunkest "bride" in all of London by the end of the night! Came home to the US, my coworkers had totally bought it, my cube was all decorated in wedding stuff!! I felt a little bad...but not really because it was SUCH an awesome prank!!

That's it...we need a Decemberite tailgating party. Bucks, brats and beer...woo hoo (for the non-USA halves, that's Bucks as in The Ohio State University Buckeyes, brats as in bratwurst for grilling and beer as in, well, beer)!
