For some reason I can't see Dizzy's charts within the body of her posts... My computer must be a little 'challenged' or maybe I don't have the ability to see pictures in posts?? Anyway, so weird! I want to see all the pink and green too!

I can't concentrate at work at all. After reading that a few people got mail notices before or on the same day as their text/email notice, I actually took a 1/2 day off yesterday to wait by my mailbox...for nothing. This is driving me nuts! I'm the type of person who STILL looks for Christmas presents in my parents closet or sneaks down to unwrap and rewrap the ones under the tree (I know, it's terrible but it was triggered by an unfortunate Cabbage Patch Kid incident when I was 7). I JUST CAN'T STAND NOT KNOWING WHEN WE WILL BE APPROVED!!! :(

hahahah seriously bec? you stayed home? really? hahahaha.. that's hilarious!! (sorry I'm laughing at your misfortune of a wasted 1/2 day off with no NOA2). I think it's like watching water boil... it never boils when you're watching!!

OK so about that unfortunate cabbage patch kid incident... I think I had a similar experience. Maybe we should start a support group for traumatized children who ruin presents for themselves due to presents received in childhood...

I'll tell you my horror story if you tell me yours!

When I was 7, my mom let me and my 2-yr old sister open a present on Christmas Eve. When I saw the shape of that Cabbage Patch Kid box, I got so excited I almost peed my pants. But nope, the Cabbage Patch went to the 2-yr old. I got a stuffed porcupine on roller skates wearing a sailor suit. My dreams were crushed. What was I supposed to do with a roller skating, sailing porcupine?

So a few days later, I flew to my Nana's and Pap's for Christmas part 2, and once again, out came two presents. One was obviously a Cabbage Patch, but I didn't know what the other one was. My Nana gave me the choice of presents but refused to tell me what was in the other one. It took me 2 hours to decide to go with the Cabbage Patch because what if the other box was THE MOST AWESOME PRESENT IN THE WORLD? Even after I picked the Cabbage Patch, she still wouldn't tell me what was in the other box. I had to wait two weeks until I got home and my sister opened it. It was a bride Barbie with a bunch of clothes my Nana made for it. Glad I went with the Cabbage Patch Kid.

After that kind of trauma, I vowed never again to be caught off guard. Ever since then, I've been a present-peaker. I even peak at presents that I know aren't mine...I just can't stand not knowing. And that is why this visa experience has been the most stressful event of my life...I just want to know when things are going to happen and what the outcome will be, is that too much to ask? :D

LOL ok... lol ... i'm sorry but this is as funny to me as when I was 7, my sister locked me in the closet where the attic entrance was. She would sit her skinny body up against the outside of that door and sing, "There's a boogie man in your closet.. la la..." and I'd FLIP OUT cuz she said if I looked up it was be staring at me! LOL LOL LOL You know I can't do anything that feels smothering or an MRI that puts my skull in the 'cage' and then has the imaging disc above my face within 5"??? The last time I went in for one they had to drug me but before they did? The nurse asked me, "When you were a child were you locked in a closet or your sibling tried to smother you with a pillow?" LOL if you saw my face! I answered her, "yeah, why?" RN: Because adults who were traumatized like that for some reason <she paused> are now clausterphobic! Then, she stuck me with a needle!

When I woke up? I called my sister and BIT THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS OUT OF HER!

Present Day Mari: I now about barf if I feel under pressure and this VJ does that to me  !! I can't stand to see the email or the text and I don't like to look at the Case Status either!!!

Any other confessions around here? Wendles? LOL you're next! ha ha...

I strongly urge you to prepare yourself mentally for the "Days to NOA2" countdown on our timeline. It's easy to get caught up in checking Igors list and focusing on the recent NOA2s, but remember that the days the service centers have left based on recent approvals IS REFLECTED in the Decemberite timeline. For example, I have a little less than 70 days until my NOA2. Preparing myself mentally for 2 months and 10 days will allow me a less stressful journey. If it comes early? Great! If it doesn't, I know how much time I have left before I can call in the big guns.

Stay positive, and set yourself up for excitement! Not let down xo

Oh don't worry Becs, the pessimistic side of me is VERY aware that I still have a wait ahead of me for my approval, and then even more after that at my slow service center! I'm just happy to see SOMETHING happening, even if its not for me yet.

Hi Dizzy, thanks for all of your quality work and for being positive and keeping it real!! I consider Jenie Bee and me to be now online with the VSC since our RFE when it comes to time. If good fortune should strike and our NOA # 2 arrives in the next 60 days great, if not well then, we are getting very close still. I am SO HAPPY for our Decemberite family whom have received NOA # 2 already, but at times it makes me over excited so I have to keep it real like you have suggested above.
