I thought it was odd. My first thought was somebody pretending to be a moderator.

That sought of response could apply to any thread on this board.

On your topic the BIG problem is impersonation of a USC post I think 1996, no waiver, no minimum age.

Try www.immigrate2us.net, they have more cases of this type.

True, very true. I have filed an official complaint with the owners of the website. I'm hoping they will reopen the thread and crack down on this kind of moderator-abuse. If there is too much censure on this website then I will join immigrate2us. In fact, I will join today.

Well, I double-checked with my wife. She corrected me that she didn't come in with a US passport. She said her aunt's daughter was born outside the US and at that time she had a green card that was stamped in a passport page at the US embassy. That girl however, eventually became a naturalized USC. I'm sorry I inadvertently made the US passport part up.

Wow. This in part explains why I'm trying to gather as much information as possible before we eventually go to a lawyer. Lawyers have screw many people up. I've heard of lawyers missing deadlines, messing up their clients' names, giving outdated information, not coaching for immigration interviews etc. Don't get me wrong, complex immigration issues require competent legal representation and lawyers play a valuable role in this process. However, I will only go to a lawyer that is highly recommended...and even then I will still do my own research and not just hand my case over to the lawyer and go home, sit back, relax and hope the lawyer will handle everything perfectly.

Look for the recommended lawyers on immigrate2us.

But first make absolutely sue you have all the facts recorded and straight.

A customer of mine recently married a woman who overstayed her visa by years.

He hired a lawyer and now she has her GC, she did not have to go back to her country of origin.

So it can be done. All you need is a good lawyer who knows what he/she is doing and cash.

This thread will prob get closed too by some clicker happy mod because ( am guessing) you put the person's name in the title...or some fluffed up reason.

IK HOU VAN JOU, MARK

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

Scalpel - I am sorry and also surprised to see your initial topic being closed. I have been reading a lot on this forum and like others said, there have been many situations that needed the attention of a good immigration lawyer but those topics weren't shut down.

However, I wish you good luck with whatever you decide to do!

I too am surprised the thread in question was shut down.

I reported w8inglongtime because I felt his advice was suggesting circumvention of immigration law. It seems that got sorted in the thread and w8inglongtime even apologized for the way he presented his advice.

There are several important issues at hand, not the least of which is the OP's wife entered without inspection. JimVaPhuong has explained why trying to ignore this fact won't work.

Now the OP has raised another issue that his wife may have been a victim of human trafficking. This is where a good immigration attorney is needed, as there may be remedies for her IF her victimization can be proved.

At this point, I would like to say I am sorry I reported the "offending" post. It seems w8inglongtime did not understand how his post read to others. In the end he did and apologized. I don't regret that I reported the post because I think the issue needed addressed. I do regret however what has followed.

Our journey together on this earth has come to an end.

I will see you one day again, my love.

FWIW, OP the original thread was getting "messy" with the new information that your fiancee may have entered using someone else's passport or LPR status rather than without documentation. Plus earlier posts giving advice that could possibly be against the VJ TOS took the conversation away from the original question and scenario. Closing that thread seems reasonable.

Rather than keep that thread going why not start a new one with the best / most accurate info? That will cut down on lots of speculation and keep comments more to the point.

Well, I'm surprised it hasn't happened already. But that will happen soon once King William33 wakes up, looks down from his throne and see what we little minions have done.

I beg to differ. What you termed "messy" contained many valuable advice and potential solutions to our problem that many good people on this website have offered freely and openly. Granted there may be one or two off-topic digressions but I was able to sort the fluff from the meat. If you are in a situation that threatens to tear your family apart or end a career you've spent more than 12 years building, like we're in, I bet you won't describe these potential solutions as "messy". But hey, one man's trash is another man's treasure.

I won't bother to start a new thread. There is no new information to add. It won't be a productive use of my time. And who says it won't turn "messy" too. It will also be asking too much from those who have already read between the lines, cleverly sized up the situation correctly and made valuable contributions. Besides, starting yet a new thread (on a topic that's already beaten to death) might further annoy the gods, mods and kings who obviously are pissed with me already.
