There seems to be a high degree of emotional outrage by a large number of members here over any legislation like the Dream Act, that would pave a legal avenue for some of the undocumented that are here.

We met a woman over the weekend who is here undocumented. She ran away from her husband because he was beating her. She's currently staying in a shelter with her two children and is meeting with an immigration lawyer to be able to stay here as her children are USC by birth.

She came here on a tourist visa. Her husband is a USC who was working abroad as an ESL teacher. While they were vacationing here in the states, she ran away from him.

So how come she did not run away in her own country? I would like to think she has family that would help, I’m sure she would have better living conditions i.e. shelter, perhaps. The way your describing the situation sounds planed by the undocumented woman, or others.

Sounds kind of like these foreign nationals that decide to go on "vacation" when they are 8 1/2 months pregnant. Gee...I wonder if there is any kind of ulterior motive going on here?

Gary, they always say DON'T JUDGE A BOOK BY IT'S COVER, you just confirmed my belief that you need to read what is written and then make judgement. Your comment about the un-educated people in WVA, blew your cover. BTW, WVA is bordered by 4 different states, so WVA has a wider range of education to drawn from.

Pardon my introduction of humor. I will say that the best thing WVA can usually claim is that they aren't Mississippi.

West Virginia is bordered by 5 states. Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia, perhaps you were still responding from your cell phone? Or maybe you weren't counting drawing on the broad range of education from Kentucky?

I haven't heard so much about Americans being rude but I have heard that foreigners think we are stupid and uneducated. Particularly in geography. It would be really embarrassing if you actually lived in WV and didn't know it bordered 5 states, wouldn't it?
