My fiancee is a Philippine national living as a resident alien in Japan. She was born in the Phil. and has lived in Japan for many years (approx. 10) and in more than one location. I have tried to understand the police certificate requirements and it just goes over my head.

Does she need a single certificate from the Phil. and a single certificate from Japan?

Any help greatly appreciated.

yes any country you have lived in for more than 12 months requires a certifcate, which is translated in to English. all the best.

Just to be clear, ONE certificate for Philippines and ONE for Japan.

We're still waiting for NOA2, but I wanted to be ready for the next step when the time comes.

Thanks for the help.

Sorry about that, I originally posted there on Nov. 23 and got no replies. I posted to the K1 forum and got answers the next day.

yes thats correct, any you country you have lived in 12 months or more through out your life, and have to have English translation. Good idea to get this started early as can take some time depemding on the number of countries and also finding place to translate if required.

I believe the correct response is any country you have lived in for more than 12 months AFTER you have reached the age of 16.

Our journey together on this earth has come to an end.

I will see you one day again, my love.
