PLEASE HELP, WHY IS AOS TAKING SO LONG?

I hope that someone will find enough time to answer my questions clearly.I received a mail from MSC Office on November2010 which they requested "initial evidence"(I-485).The letter stated that I have 87 days to respond to this RFE, fortunately I sent what they requested for(Initial Evidence) to them immediately. But to my surprise, I have not heard anything from them since I sent the initial evidence to them. Even my Case Status online still showing "Request for Evidence".Is this the normal way they operate?

YES, it takes 2 weeks to get your case back on track after you get an RFE. But you don't say when you sent anything. PLUS its december HOLIDAY TIME. Expect delays your not the only one applying for AOS as well, your case is with many many other cases on ONE persons desk.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

I am a Citizen of the United States of America. 04/16/13

I also received the same RFE and mailed it immediately. The same was received at USCIS after two days. Its now been two weeks since they recieved it and my case has not changed online and i havent received any email saying that the case has resumed processing. So im still waiting. Just be patient. All the best.

Did they send you any message/letter they got your evidence ? Did you include the blue paper with it went you sent it back ? It sounds like they didn't receive it yet

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
