my fiance POE experience was smooth he came through ATL they asked him one question which was who was sending for him...They did all the necessary changing of documents ( the sealed folder) he gave him the I94 and sent him on his way the only complaint my fiance had was that the guy was moving slow.....I hope that was helpful

BTW, is it hard to find the Immigration line once you set foot at the US Airport? or someone will assist you inside?

cant speak on other airports but in Atlanta once you get off the plane from an international flight you can only go one way and that is straight to the immigration lines. There international wing is a little sterile.....

it's not hard, just follow everybody as this is the entry everyone needs to fall in line at.

also look at maps/directions from your plane magazine (most have them) and check out the sscreens/monitors you will see along the way.

The immigration lines are easy to find. I have always seen an USCIS officer directing traffic/answering general questions. The lines are usually marked "US CITIZENS" or "NON-US CITIZENS". If you are a citizen coming for the first time with your K1-K3 etc, they usually allow you to go through with your fiancee/wife in the non citizen line.

Any line. Technically they should not use the "US Citizens and Residents" but nothing bad happens if they do. Our entry was little different from any other time I have entered the country. Give over your documents, passport and visa packet, and that's about it.

My husband (then fiance) came through LAX on a direct flight from Sydney. He was improperly processed and didn't realize that he hadn't been given a I-94 in his passport until we were putting together the papers for his AOS. LAX took his sealed envelope, welcomed him to the country, and when he asked if there was anything else he needed to do for entrance they told him 'no'.

We ended up having to drive to one of the main border entry points between Canada and U.S. , plead our story and problem, present marriage certificate along with NOA1 and NOA2 and answer questions from the officials there. They were very professional and straightened everything out once they looked into everything and he answered all their questions to their satisfaction.
