Montreal: who knew I might start hating Santa Clause...

How long does it take lately to get through the immigrant visa backlog at Montreal consulate? I mean the backlog that resulted after the interview when some documents were missing. I read some posts here saying that Montreal is "slow". But how slow? I sent them my passport six weeks ago (the interview was a few weeks before that but some documents, like I said, were missing). Now they have it all: all needed document (by their own admission) and passport, but so far nothing back. I am eagerly checking Canada post tracking number every day. But all I see on Canada post website is "Nothing Found" sign and pretty picture of Santa Clause sleigh. It all drives me insane. I am not sure what drives me crazy more: the nothing-found-sign or the sleigh ...

Is there anybody out there who also sent passports to Montreal consulate lately and anxiously waiting? How long have you been waiting for? Has anybody just received your passports back from Montreal, how long did it take? I am eager to hear from horse's mouth, so to speak. Thanks.

I my self sent the passport in Jan 19, 2011. I am still waiting. I heard it could take four months. It will be nice If someone who has gone through this process can post a comment . When I sent the passport, I sent with it a paid postexpress envelope so they can use it to return my passport. but, I forget to write my address on the paid postexpress envelope. Officer should know my adress is on the application form. I hope it does not fall in the hands of an officer who cannot figur it out.
