I don't think Brazilians are considered Hispanics.

don't start that subject again. :bonk:

when the beautiful census taker lady came to our door (drop dead georgous woman originally from bogota colombia ... and yes we talked a bit :) ) we discussed isa's status. she is not considered hispanic (brazil was portugal ... not spain)

Mine is 94% white, 3% Asian, 1% Hispanic (where?) 2% other and 0% black. But we have a lot of French speaking Canadians for diversity.

well...I already knew I lived in an area that is not diverse...95% white, 1% asian, 1% black, 1% hispanic, 2% other

median income is $79,988

median home value $178,300, +1% since 2000

high school graduates 100%

bachelors or higher 42%

masters or higher 13%

under 30k: 9%

30- 49,999 14%

50-74,999 22%

75- 99,999 22%

100 - 149,999 19%

150 - 199,999 6%

200K + 9%

I just added that like 10 times because I thought it was odd it was 101%. I even went back a few times to make sure I didn't copy a number wrong

He's made this argument before. It's because his community is 94% white, he says.

Of course, much of Vermont is also poor and rural. I'm not sure I'd call that a success.

I didn't say that, YOU did. Check the median income for Vermont. Vermont is far more densely populated than Quebec and has a far lower crime rate. In fact, I didn't say anything. Our population is 94% white and we have the lowest crime rate in the country. Facts. YOU posted the charts. What do the charts say?

But this is a new one...now you are saying that poverty reduces crime? Poor areas should have the lowest crime rate. Yes?

You've said Vermont's low crime rate has to do with it's high % of white people in the past. Others remember it even if you don't. And no, I'm not going to go digging it up for you.

Did I say poverty reduces crime? No, I said Vermont is poor and poor states can't be called successful.

I never said that. I say it is because all of us can carry guns. Successful? I said we had a low crime rate, what does that have to do with success?

I go back to what I HAVE said. Vermont has the lowest crime rate in the country. Vermont allows anyone to carry handguns concealed. The reason we have a low crime rate is because we can carry concealed handguns and criminals would rather do business in nearby New York.

If you disagree with that, then tell me what the reason is. Poverty? Lack of success? Are these all contributors to low crime?
