hello...well we got approved but the consulate didn't give us any way of tracking the status of the visa and if it has been shipped through DHL. how do we know when the visa is ready for pick up?

Oh Gosh! We're in the same boat! When was your interview? Mine was last monday, december 13th. I called DOS and they said that my visa was printed/issued last friday but until now, I still haven't heard from DHL. I kept calling CSC for my waybill and they keep telling me to call them at a later time of the day. UGH!!! This is really frustrating! I was really hoping I'd be celebrating Christmas with my boy. :(

The consulate asked about my status in Canada before interview, and I sent needed doc. to them.

Praise the Lord, everything is clear and I don't have any issue in my past, at interview also he asked me why I am a refugee, and I explained truly.

even my name is not Islamic or common name, so my question is: why it can be long? I expect them be faster...

yours is going to take longer because like I said your country is having problems with america right now, they put people from certain countrys in AP after their interview because they need to make a lot more checks on people from certain countrys.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

you should be calling DHL if your visa has been printed already.

they don't give you one

log in here

http://www.usvisa-info.com/en-CA/selfservice/ss_country_welcome

you will need your passport number , your date of birth etc

you should see a REFERENCE ID,

once you have that, go to www.dhl.ca

and enter your reference id in the reference field, it will let you know if it is ready to be picked up

mine took about 5 business days to get back

:)

Here is a copy paste from the OTHER WAY BILL NOT GIVEN thread.

Ahhh! Exactly like what we're experiencing right now. I called CSC and they said we have to wait for 2 weeks before they can make calls and do a follow up. I keep checking DHL--- but they still don't have any record of my visa.

i just found this on the canada.usvisa website under courier info on the left.

General Process Overview

Upon arrival for the interview, a completed waybill may be provided to each applicant. The waybill will contain their waybill number for tracking their documents, as well as the courier location selected for pickup.

Following the appointment, applicants may check this Web site for the status of the return of the documents and waybill number. Once the documents are ready for pickup, the applicants must bring the waybill number and official identification to the selected courier location to retrieve the documents.

Please click here for detailed instructions on how to retrieve your waybill number and check the status of your shipment. To find the status of your documents you must log in to your account in our system and upon viewing the applicant summary page you will see your waybill number and the status of pickup availability. The document status information only appears once your personal documents have been returned by the Consular Section for shipment to your designated DHL location.

As the time it takes to adjudicate an applicant's case is at the sole discretion of the Consular Section, we cannot provide you any information regarding when your personal documents will be turned over to DHL.

Note: If the appointment has been scheduled at the U.S. Consulate in Toronto, Vancouver, Quebec City or Halifax a waybill will not be handed out. To retrieve the documents from the selected courier location the applicant will need to provide the waybill number and official identification.

How things have changed since my interview, and that was only two months ago!! Check out the attached pic..... The "S" number will show up once your visa has been printed and issued.

I've been calling the CSC hotline. I called DHL once but they said they have no record of my reference number. Sigh... The embassy's closed tomorrow and won't be open till the 28th. :crying: Any news with you? I hope they send our visa today. DHL said they'll be open tomorrow but will be closed on monday and tuesday.

still waitingggggggg

My personal opinion on this is that there is a delay in printing and issuing it and that view has only been strengthened by the fact that others are waiting as well.

I highly doubt you are in AP. If you have received an approval letter from the consul at your interview and NOT a 221 g form, then from what i can you see, you were approved.

We are fast approaching the Christmas holidays and there may be a staff shortage at this time.

Good Luck :)
