My Canadian fiancé got his passport photo taken while he was here on July 28th. Today is August 25th. I am only now getting around to send in the I-129F packet because I had to come up with the fee (thank you, Mother) since I've been having a lot of financial problems because of work jacking me around, but that's a whole 'nother story...

Anyway, before I could stop him, he wrote his name on the back of the photo and added the date. From what I have heard, #1, you do not date the back of the passport photo, and #2, the passport photo is only good for 30 days from the date taken.

By the time this package gets there, it will be over the 30-day mark. How likely am I to get an RFE because of this photo?

Take it to a photo copy place, get a copy printed, cut it to size and write his name on it.

I'll try and do that. Hopefully I won't get in trouble for it. I don't know if this would fall under the "no copying copyrighted photos or anything that looks like it" or not.

Also, I got a postal money order made out to the Department of Homeland Security since I don't have any checks with my current address, but it also asks for an address. Is that really needed? If so, what address do I put?

I just mailed it. I've been working on getting this visa packet prepared and mailed ever since 9 am, so 6 hours I've been working on it... funny thing is, all the forms were already done, it was just a matter of copying them all and running all over creation trying to get last-minute supplies for it. I might as well have been a chicken with its head cut off. I mailed it Express Mail, so it'll get there tomorrow by noon, but it probably won't be signed for and picked up until Monday. 31 days, if it even gets processed that day.

This should be a happy time for me, but it's not because now I'm stressed-out wondering if I'm going to get an RFE. Maybe it's just because I haven't eaten all day. I turn into a major b*tch when I get hungry. I'll go get food now.
