I think that's true of some, but it seems that the OP seriously has issues with Christianity, as well as other beliefs - not sure it's a playground act in this case since it's been an ongoing issue for awhile. I could be wrong.

You are absolutely right

I don't know much about other religions but I would knock those equally hard if I had the ammunition

I have plenty of ammunition regarding christianity but I think the concept of supernatural beings in general is simply wrong.

Most people just follow their home brainwashing but I have actually tried to feel and think my way through all the issues and come to very firm conclusions

I have seen enough people who claim to be christians and have the meanest spirits of any people I have ever come across. At the same time I have seen lots of non believers who are as moral as the rest and at least try to think their way through life and what consequences their actions might have - rather than relying on a dogma such as 'an eye for an eye'

As far as the spiritual side is concerned, hundreds of thousands went to the battlefields of Northern France and tried to connect with the armies of dead who for the most part had no grave. They all failed. Meanwhile the séance business was flourishing as thousands of predatory women offered to put people in touch with their dead for money

My granddad was killed at 3.45am on Thursday 3rd May 1917 at Oppy Wood in France. I knew from battle maps where he was killed to within 50 yards. I went there on my motorbike on the 80th anniversary and stood in that empty field at 3.45am.

Nothing

Dead is dead.

When a retarded 15 year old boy exposed himself to my little girl, the christians in my family wanted to go round and beat him to pulp. I took the view that they should be glad that they were not like him and I let the authorities handle it. Many christians are all too ready to beat people up and shoot them (the bible belt) and you can bet your everything that all the torturers at Guantanamo bay were committed christians. I would bet my pension on that

When I analyse my reactions to events and stack them up against the average christian - I am far more 'Christ like' than them. Now there is an irony

Perhaps my early schooling as a Primitive Methodist turned me against christians BECAUSE I accepted the teachings and didn't like what I saw in christians. Now there is a theory

I would vote for j if he dropped this god stuff
