Coverletter listing everything that it contains and what is for what package.

The cover letter isn't required.

However one thing you missed of that list was the 2005 1040 (tax return), just W-2 and 1099 is not enogh.

Seems like, from others' posts, that just submitting the most recent tax return is going to trigger an RFE. Best to include the returns from the past three years and also submit copies of the last six paystubs, in addition to the W-2/1099s (that were needed to generate your 1040)

9/2/06 - Mailed I-130, I-485, I-765, and I-131 to Chicago lockbox (via USPS Express Mail)

9/11/06 - ND for I-485, I-765 and I-131

9/13/06 - Checks cashed

9/14/06 - NOA1 for I-485, I-765 and I-131

- Photocopy of my entire passport.

- Copy of my NOA2 from our I-129F Approval.

- Copy of my K-1 Visa from my passport.

- Copy of recent paystub which also indicates year to date earnings from Sponsor (wife).

- Photocopy of my entire passport.

This isn't necessary, only the Visa page and the main ID page are needed. If you want to be ####### I guess you could also send the pages that have actual stamps on them too, but copying the entire thing is just a waste of trees.

Don't forget to include a copy of your NOA2 from your I-129F!

You also need a copy of the passport, including the visa page.

Thanks for your advice.

We have received the I-797C, Notice of Action but we are not sure whether this is NOA1 or NOA2. Could you explain the difference?

People are not getting RFE's because they didn't submit three years of tax returns, you are only required to submit the most recent year.

They are getting RFE's because of lack of other evidence such as failing to provide IRS transcripts, proof of employment and citizenship etc.

Six months of paystubs???? *sigh*

KarenCee,

I wouldn't be too downhearted about forgetting that, I think that a letter from the employer normally is sufficient. Some people include the paystubs aswell but I haven't heard of anyone getting a RFE for failing to provide them!

Aye, I'm sure...and I sent employer letters from both jobs. I won't have paystubs showing my current rate of pay til the end of September. The school system here only pays once a month and my pay raise (yippee!) won't take effect til then. *sigh* Can't wait to see what this RFE we're getting is for.

The NOA2 is the approval notice:
