My wife and 11 year old daughter received their green cards within 7 days after the AOS interview.  The Councilor approved on the spot which is not always normal. She was very nice.  They had special arrangements for the interview because of COVID.  The questions were asked from a room next to us via Video like Zoom. We made an appointment to get the daughters  SSN. My wife and her daughter had a specific time for the SSN.  Needed all original papers. BC, Passport, green card.
now wait for the 2yr AOS interview.

Hi Everyone ,

I applied for my wife AOS on 11/15/2020. On 12/28/2020 we received our NOA1 since then we haven’t heard anything else . No biometric appointment nor any update on the case ..

Normal? Or should I worry !!

I do not know if i am posting this message at the right forum. Please pardon me if it is not the right place.

Below is my question:

I have 10 years green card. Is it possible for me to file for my kids with ages of 15,13,8 years respectively. I brought them with me to USA 5 years ago. I could not file for them due to lack of finance when i did my adjustment of status.
For medical and paperwork they need SSN.I do not know if there is any way i can use my status of 10 years green card to file, for them to atleast have SSN first .

I will appreciate all your answers.
Thank you!

They all entered with K-2 visas? If so, are you still married to the US citizen petitioner?

For the AOS paperwork it says "if any" so you can input N/A or leave it blank. Both I-485 and I-765 forms have options to request SSN.

In the meantime, they don't need SSNs to be added to health insurance: https://www.irs.gov/affordable-care-act/questions-and-answers-about-reporting-social-security-numbers-to-your-health-insurance-company

Q5: If I do not have a social security number (SSN) or other tax identifying number (TIN) for myself or other covered individuals, such as my spouse or dependents, should I contact the IRS to obtain a social security number or individual taxpayer identification number (ITIN) so that I can give it to my health coverage provider?

A5: No, it is not necessary for you to contact the IRS if you do not have an SSN or a TIN. You should advise your coverage provider that you do not have an SSN or TIN and give them the date of birth for each covered individual.

We applied in 12/2019  received a notice for a April interview but did not have our interview until Oct 2020.   COVID changed the entire process

I was able to get health insurance for my Wife and her daughter without a SSN. They did ask for their SSN several times but told the carrier they dont have one yet. You cannot be denied health insurance just because you dont have a SSN

Good Day, I just wanted to confirm if this is still correct:

I do not need to fill out a new I-864 for K2. Just need to make sure that they are listed as "family member immigrating at the same time" on the K1's affidavit of support, photo copy and send with K2 paper work. Correct?

You help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
