I need to pick your brains............I went for a job interview at the start of the week at which point i thought it maybe months before my K3 was approved.

However on Wednesday we were approved and then Wednesday I got offered the job.

My problem now is that im wondering if i should take it. I know once the K3 gets to London it can take around 8 weeks till i get a interview. However what if I am one of the lucky ones who gets one in 4.

As great as the money would be, Im just thinking that I want to spend the time i have left with my family and friends, packing, getting things shipped to the US, ending contracts with cell phone etc.

I certainly do not want to be working when all this happens BUT the money is tempting.

I really dont know if i should take the job, or take it and make them know i will only be around for another 2 months at least in which case they may not want to give me the job anyway.

:help: needs some views!

It wouldn't be nice to mislead them.

Oh stop. You think employers keep their employees in the loop on every future plan they have? They don't. It's not personal, it's just business.

Yeah, and there are ethics for business. If this business hires him thinking he's gonna be long term and he leaves after a month or two, it's a pain for them. For him, misleading his employer can damage his reputation and chances for a positive job reference. Really, telling the truth is a good thing.

I agree with Gupt. My only concern would be if you ever wanted to work there again...if you had to quit would it effect your future chances?

Either way, businesses lie, cheat and steal EVERY day. Anyway it's not a lie...just an ommission and you can BET businesses do that every day.

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

"Ohhh hey so you know I only plan on working for 1 year .. then I am outta here".. Hmmm I can just hear the acceptance letter being written.. Or I should just be homeless for 1 year?

You take the job and keep yer mouth shut. Your employer has plans of his own and unless you're a senior executive or on the BOD, you're not going to know what they are.

Man is made by his belief. As he believes, so he is.

Nah Gupt the question was for heisha.. I wanted to hear what the answer would be .. would they say .. "Hey I am leaving in a year" and see if they still think they would get the job.. I know I was told by someone i interviewed once that they were moving out of state in 3 months.. I filed his resume in the trash bin.
