I sent my I-751 for my wife and step-daughter around November 10th. On December 2nd I received it back because I filled out the check for $10 too much. I sent it back on the 4th of December.

My step-daughters who are on the I-751 application have tickets to fly out of the country on the 16th, returning on the 3rd of January. I have a few questions:

  1. Why did it take so long to get my NOA1? I've been reading the forum and it seems like it usually takes about a week for most of you.
  2. If they travel out of the country before we have the NOA1, can the return to the US? Do we have to send the original NOA1 to them? Or can we send them a fax or email a scanned copy?
  3. What is the possibility we won't get the NOA1 in time for them to return on January 3rd? They start school on January 4th.

We are going crazy because we spent $3000 on these tickets and they are really looking forward to visit their family for the first time in years.

Any help is really appreciated.

When does their Conditional Green Cards expire?

Yep that's the question I have.

Perhaps Info pass appointment and see about getting an I-551 stamp in passports, the field office can verify that the I-751 has been filed.

VSC filer Faithful sent package on 12/02 and just received their NOA on 12/11.

So, if you are lucky enough, you'll get yours tomorrow...?

Yes, I hope so.

Do you think they can travel? Will we have to FedEx the NOA to Chile?

If GC is expired they WILL need the NOA 1 letter to re-enter the USA.
