Hi all

My NOA is 11/02, now it's 12/14 already and I still not receive my biometric appointment yet.

I called the customer service, and they said they will make a request to the USCIS about my case and I need to wait for 30 days more, if still nothing, then call them back.

What should i do now?

I've heard about walk-in biometric without appointment letter. How does it work? please advise. Should I get an infopass or what?

Please help.

Thanks

you answered your own question-

"they said they will make a request to the USCIS about my case and I need to wait for 30 days more, if still nothing, then call them back."

It's the holidays, things are slow. It sucks, but try to focus on enjoying the season, things will move along shortly :)

Call again. Make sure you speak with an immigration officer, not one of the drones that answer the phones.

Tell the I.O. that you are afraid that your biometrics appointment letter has been lost in the mail. You would like to know IF THE BIOMETRICS LETTER HAS BEEN MAILED TO YOU and, if so, WHEN.

Be persistent. Don't give up. You need to get past the drones to an actual I.O.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

I am in the "same boat" as the poster of this topic. My NOA is Nov 9, 2010 and still no fingerprint notice as of today, Dec 16, 2010. I called USCIS last Friday and they issued a service request. I also called and spoke to an IO on the 13th this week and he just said that nothing looked odd but that they just "had not had time" to schedule a fingerprint notice. I also just sent a letter to the National Benefits Center, that issued my I-797C form asking about my case.

What else is there to do? It seems as if most people get their fingerprint notices within only a few weeks. At least it makes me feel a bit better that I am not alone here not getting the fingerprint notice. They say that Sacramento, which is my District Office has a processing time of 5 months. How they are going to manage that with this slow handling of the case is beyond me. Can you contact a Senator or Congressman after a certain time if you do not receive a fingerprint notice?

Hi all,

2 days after I call them, I just got an update email from USCIS saying "On December 16, 2010, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case N400 APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION....."

Does this mean my biometric letter is coming?

If yes, with this appointment letter, can i just show up at local office for walk-in biometric or I have to wait until the appointment day? anyone with experience in walk-in biometric please advise me.

Thanks

Didn't call, just waited, finally got that same "On December 16, 2010, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case N400 APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION." that is there way of saying to expect your biometrics appointment letter.

For my wife, checked the fluids in the car and the air pressure in the tires, filled the tank with ethanol free gas we can still buy here and prayed for good weather. But this is my stepdaughter, always hopping down to Milwaukee for rock concerts with friends, so maybe I will not have to do anything.

Only time I ever pestered the USCIS is when their one year extension notice was running out on their I-751, and that time I really raised hell, without a valid green card, wife couldn't work and stepdaughter couldn't go to school. Feel if you pester them, may even delay your application.
