My fiancee has to wear glasses because he needs a very slight vision correction. He can see fine without them, but he can read better at distances (it doesn't give him headaches) if he wears them. In all of our pictures together that we plan on sending with the I-129F, he is wearing his glasses. When he went to get the passport photo done yesterday, though, they couldn't take it with his glasses on because it was giving too much glare. Does anyone know if it will be any sort of issue? I only worry because all of his other pictures show him with his glasses on but the passport picture doesn't.

I guess it's the jitters since we're so very close to getting this whole packet sent out.

That really should not be any sort of problem. There are tons of people who wear glasses some of the time or most of the time or something.

Yep, part of my job used to be taking passport photos, and if the glare was too much, our gov't guidelines instructed us to ask people to remove their glasses. So don't worry--it's absolutely fine!

Arazia

let me tell you my story: my passport photos for the I-129F show me with glasses. there was no problem with that and my petition was approved. However, the germany consulate advised me on the phone that I should send them passport photos without glasses, without earrings etc. so I went to get new photos without glasses.

therfore I assume it can never be wrong to send photos without glasses, even if you are usually always wearing your glasses, like me. Thats just my experience, not an advise.

good luck
