Biometrics Inquiry

After 30 days of filing my AOS package and not getting any answer ..... I contacted the USCIS guys and they told me to wait for another 30 days and today I received this email from them ..... I wonder why do some people receive their biometrics appointments within days and some have to wait for so long ??

If your waiting for the ASC out by the airport in nebraska, its slow. plain and simple. They have to wait till they get your petition to send you the biometrics appointment letter and they are really slow with it. I went there and so did my friend. Even tho the office was empty cept for ONE other couple waiting in there it was really slow even when getting my appointment done.

.... talking to the national hotline in this matter won't get you anywhere unfortunately. Appointments for the biometrics or even the interview at your local offices is all depending on the workload of those places. Personally I have seen people filing exactly around the same time like me but in a different part of the US and they already had their biometrics a month before me. The hotline does not know how many people can be seen and what appointments are available for a little ASC office. All we can do is sit back, try to relax or distract ourselves and hope for an appointment letter to arrive in the mail soon.

Hang in there, as frustrating as it may be.

Unfortunately there is nothing you can do, except waiting...I know it's hard, give it 3 weeks and if still nothing schedule an infopass so you could talk to somebody in person about your case. Good luck!

I waited 5 MONTHS for my Biometrics letter and did it today...so don't fret...they're probably back logged.
