But sometimes people do have to take the law into their own hands for justice to be served.

There was no law this sick dude could have taken into his own hands. The victim broke no law. Neither did the sickos daughter.

But sometimes people do have to take the law into their own hands for justice to be served.

For that to be valid, the law would have to be on your side. In this case, it clearly was not.

First, the age of consent in Germany is 14. That's why the police couldn't do anything. The father might not have liked it - but other than talk to his daughter about the relationship he had no justification whatsoever for what he did.

BArbaric Justice would be cutting off someones hand because he cut off someones hand.

No really though....I don't have kids so I don't know how I'd react but I think this guy was very angry and made a bad decision. He was trying to protect his "innocent" daughter. He probably couldnt believe someone so young would willingly sleep with someone so much older. Why would someone that angry even stop to think about the consequences or other options when the police couldn't help him even though he thought they should. This was a last resort. He obviously loves his daughter and was trying to protect her.

He definitely shouldn't have done this but anger makes people do crazy things.
