Hey, I filed my case on the 3rd of Nov, still no biometrics appointment received and I believe half of the forum should know this by now :D

I was hoping to file for an EMERGENCY AP as my sister is getting married in the end of Jan and my dad is not feeling well ..... Do you think USCIS guy's will consider this ...... So, is it worth trying ..... I'm thinking to get an infopass appointment in Jan if I do not hear from them till then ......

Please advice .....

Thanks .....

Others will answer, too, I'm sure, but I'm fairly sure that your sister's wedding wouldn't be considered an emergency. As for your dad, I hope he gets better soon, but unless he's in the hospital and not expected to recover (and a physician will attest to that), it's unlikely that seeing him would be an emergency, either.

On the other hand, you can always try, I guess. If you do try, I actually wouldn't mention your sister's wedding. That just doesn't seem to be on the level of a travel emergency.

Good luck!

AJ

My only experience of emergency AP is from reading on here, but from that, I'd say your chances are pretty good, especially since you'll be able to show concrete travel plans; just make an infopass appointment and see what they say!
