Hello everyone, me and my wife had our AOS interview last monday on Dec 6th and Friday we received the GC approval letter and we are currently waiting for the card itself. I had a dumb question which I think I just answered myself but when I file for taxes this year, I should file together with my wife even though she didn't work, right? Is there anything I need to know beforehand, any papers I need for her?

Thanks and sorry if it is a silly question :P

Why would anyone who has an SSN ever get an ITIN number? sorry this is bad advice here.

ITIN is for someone who doesnt have an SSN and cant get one yet.

You need an SSN for your wife. Filing joint will probably get you the largest refund or the least to have to pay. Run several scenarios (joint, married filing separate, etc.) to be sure.
