So I'm not sure if this is the correct forum or not, but thought since I'm a K1 Visa applicant, it might be relevant here. I'm a Canadian, with a K1 in process, likely with an interview sometime in March next year, and marriage in Wasington State in July. Anyways, to my question:

Since a K1 Visa is a one-time entry, and I won't have my Green Card until much later, what travel destinations are available for myself and fiancee as honeymoon options? Ofcourse there is Hawaii and all the official states, but we are curious about my ability to travel to United States Territories, specifically St Thomas or Puerto Rico. Any help would be great. Thanks,

Dieter

Any travel destination is out if it stops at any foreign soil. Many cruises are out because of this . If they stop at a non US port ( Mexico or Canada) you are subject to immigration checks and will be denied reentry. Any flight that stop on foreign soil also messes up your plans. This could happen unintentionally if there is a problem and an unexpected stop is required. Many inter island cruises off the east coast will also get you in trouble. Before buying plane tickets make sure the flight doesn't have other stops either on the outbound or inbound route.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Very good question. Unfortunately, I don't have an answer for you. Fortunately, someone else will! :)

(And on a completely non-helpful, unrelated note... I will be honeymooning at home! I've been away from him long enough, I don't think I'll want to travel anywhere for a while!) :)

Well, there are plenty of fine places and lanscapes in this large and fine nation. What kind of activities do you enjoy? What kind of landscapes? I think answers will vary. For example, most people want a honeymoon in a tropical paradise, but my honey lives and works in a tropical paradise! I think for him it will be more interesting to be in a big city such as Chicago, New York, or LA. However, when you are in love, you could be in the most basic room at a Motel 8 next to anywhere-highway-USA and it would still be paradise... :D

anywhere within the American soil.if you have to get an stamp in your passport,or a visa, for entering or leaving the country, then that place is of limits

Kinda sorta. You do not get a stamp when entering Canada. You cannot go to Canada.

You CAN go to any US territory or possession including US Virgin Islands BUT make sure you do not go through any other countries coming or going.
