Hi VJ friends...this question is intended for people that got their interview in Rio de Janeiro...

Will my wife have to gather all NEW docuements for her interview in Rio de Janeiro? like new Atestado de Bons Antecedentes? New original Birth Certificates for her and our kids? even though we sent them to NVC already?

Thank you!... MUITO OBRIGADO!!

The short answer is no. Once you are approved the form you receive will have what you still need to submit on the day of the interview. However, it is always better to be prepared and have original copies or certified copies of those documents you already submitted in case something gets lost or misplaced. Call it a great insurance policy and the worst that can happen is you have a spare of those documents for use later in life.

May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!

Su and I were just e-mailed the NVC's documentation regarding our interview.

If you'd like I can whiteout some of the particulars and send you a copy of the exact four page PDF they've sent us.

As Wayne and Claudia said, they'll tell you what you need and don't need based on your case and situation. The fourth page is a list of documents on the left, with a letter code on the right. The third page is actually a key to the letter code, and each code lets you know if your corresponding document was accepted/rejected/needs a new one/whatever.
