Hey Guys,

Just wanted to see if any July filers received their NOA2s? My five month period is up in 2 weeks and it's really hard on me as others.

My timeline as follows:

This really sucks guys. I don't know what the hell they are upto, I mean the 5 month mark is coming up and to add up to the frustration, the holidays are here so don't know if we will get anything by the end of this month.

I hope we get something sooner, atleast it will be a christmas gift to us.

you can ask for a service request with uscis. when you call, tell them that they have made an error and they will escalate the matter to a non-drone official who can actually to you. you've already passed the 5 month mark and so you can say that the USCIS website says that NOA2s will be processed 5 months AFTER RECEIPT (not the NOA1 date - the receipt date is usually in the box above the NOA1 date; NOA1 processing dates are usually 1-2 weeks following the actual receipt of the application). Myself and another VJer did this and we were able to have service requests put on our cases. A lot of times they'll tell you to wait a month after the 5 month mark. just tell them you believe they are in error and would like to speak to a higher official

#2, schedule an infopass appt with your local USCIS office. the directions are on the USCIS website. that way you can go talk to a USCIS officer face to face who can peer into your case. they may not be able to tell you exactly where it is, but can atleast tell you if something's wrong. they can also put in a service request for you.

i wish you all the best of luck. it took me 5 months and 10 days or so to get my wife's NOA2. yup it was nothing but pure torture waiting around in complete uncertainty. I will say this - do NOT put your lives on hold for this. Proceed as you normally would. keep yourselves as occupied as possible. if possible, plan a trip to India (or whereever your beneficiary spouse/fiance is), even if they get approved the next day. In the 6 months we were apart, I visited my wife once at the 4 month interval and was then there for her interview as well. I just couldnt stay away; obviously I realize it is different for everybody.

This is truly the worst part, but after this the NVC part is quick (for those going through I-130) and there's always activity. it takes 3 months from NOA2 to interview for I-130s, but it goes quickly.

again best of luck!!!

Once in awhile, right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale - My beautiful wife Soni
