Can't save DS-230, 156k

Is it possible to save forms DS-230 and DS-156K on your computer? They download just fine, and I can save them to my computer. But the forms always remain blank, and a message says that if you can't save any data you enter and should instead print it. It's a major hassle, as we don't have a printer at home.

Any advice?

I am able to save data that I have put on my forms some don't like those and you have to print them off anyway. Can you borrow a friends pc and printer if not local library should do the trick

If you can get Adobe Acrobat (not the reader), then you can be able to open them and save the information.

Otherwise, try downloading PDF995.

What it does is it converts any file into a PDF. You can fill out your form and then "print" it as a PDF (when you're ready to "print" it, select PDF995 as your default printer, then click on Ok, as if you are printing a document on your printer)...the only hitch is you cannot edit the form...but all the data you typed can be saved.

I was searching for an answer to this problem and I found your posting.

I have Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro, but I could not save what I typed in. I also have PDF995, and it would print out an error message instead of the form and it's content.

If you were successful in saving a copy or could print it to PDF995, do you mind posting the saved or printed (blank form) for our benefit?

I filled up AND SAVED this form using Adobe Acrobat Standard version 8.2.5 no problem.

I just found out the Foxit Reader does the trick for DS-230!! Using Foxit, I could type in the form and save it!!

Then after saving the form, I could use Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro to modify the saved text and then save it. However, Adobe Reader 9 still could not save to a Foxit modified form.

I was going to upload an unlocked copy of the DS-230 form, but since Adobe Reader won't be able to save to it, there is no point in doing so.

Fellow VJ's are better of installing Foxit Reader to fill out their DS-230 and other locked forms.
