Do you understand that this is THE most expensive time of the year to fly? There is no free lunch.

i just booked my wife's ticket for PAL through mangotours.com under 1000 for her and my son. if your mother is a first time immigrant, she will get a discount just tell mangotours that, i think if it was just my son, my wife's airfare would cost only 690 usd 12 1/2 hr flight non stop

just to add she is on the plane headed for LA now :)

Have you used the travel site that you listed KFC? Also is the K1 a first time imigrant? I read where a K1 visa flier was denied boarding under the first time immigrant ticket because the K1 is a non immigrant visa.

Multiple connections isnt an issue if they were all booked thru the same airline even if they are partners. They will get you where you need to be. I purchased mine seperately and when AA dropped the ball, i had to buy another ticket on my next two flights and AA could care less.

I haven't booked directly with the site that I listed but it have been recommended to me by a lot of people & they all have good things to say about it.

I always book my flight directly with the airlines - I only use the search engines (Expedia, Travelocity, etc) for price comparison.

I think that K1 flyers do not get get the immigrant discount as it not considered an immigrant visa.

Also I always do my entire trip on the same Airlines or same Airline Alliance so I never had any issues with connections or luggage.

I like to use Delta. I just booked my fiancee a ticket for late March,2012 for $ 907.00 one way to Los Angeles.

I couldn't book Korean from the US. I could have flown her cheaper by China Airlines but I prefer to have her fly American.

Philippine airlines adds taxes to the price they quote and it boost up the price at the end when you order it doesn't it ?

Warning :

If you use Delta, the person ordering the ticket from the US must go to the airport and show their credit card and ID or the beneficiary

in the Philippines will not be allowed to board unless that flag is cleared and the credit card is presented in the US. No matter what anybody says, don't risk that as they assured me yesterday that they will definately ask for this proof in the Philippines if the flag on the computer screen is not already cleared that ID was proven at the US office.

There is no discount for K1 filers. And don't used mixed airlines because it is confusing enough without changing airports and airlines !!!

That's the price I would pay for a round trip ticket for that route.
